Barack Obamas " Organizing for America " has put the call out for people to Email their local papers and write a letter to the editor. They have created a VERY easy and fast way to write all your local papers with just a few key strokes. PLEASE take a minute to do this today and jump behind enemy lines to help kill the bill.

1. Put in your Zip code. You will be redirected to a page where you enter all your address information.

2. Check all the boxes for all of your local papers.[and note at the bottom of this list, as you can expand to other newspapers too]

Thank you Rushlake for posting this in the Michigan forum, I didn’t catch it on the main forum last weekend. I had sent a letter to friends and family, cc’ing both of our ‘senators’, but didn’t think of sending it in to any papers. This form the dem’s put together made it quite easy.

My letter:

Let it be said that on November 7th, 2009, American freedoms endowed upon them in the Constitution has been erased by the 111th Congress. For on this date, 220 Democrats have decided that it has been written that they can force any American to purchase a healthcare plan that they deem appropriate for you. If they can do this, than they can get away with doing anything.

Once HR 3962 is passed into law, every American will be required to purchase a healthcare plan within the parameters in which the bill was written. According to the Congressional Budget Office, a person making $44,000 per year will be required to pay $7,300 or 17% of their annual pay. A person making $102,000 will be forced to pay $20,300 or 20% of their pay. This will be a tax over and above what is paid to payroll and income tax and the fines that will be levied if one does not comply will reach into the 10’s of thousands and up to five years in jail.

This action by Congress is not what our founders had written to protect the people of this nation. This is more like forcing a person to purchase auto insurance when they don’t even own a car nor know how to drive one. This bill not only is unconstitutional per the 10th Amendment of the Constitution, it also takes away our freedom of choice that should be protected by the 9th Amendment per the decision of Roe v Wade in 1973.

This action done by our Democrat lead Majority is an abomination to our Freedoms and a Power play to remove all of the Freedoms our Founders had granted us 233 years ago. The only thing stopping this take over of 17% of our economy is if this bill dies on the floor of the Senate. Is there enough freedom loving Democrats in the Senate that will stand along side of their Republican counterparts to end this madness?

Contact your Senators now and urge them to fight for your freedom of choice or sit idly by and allow the Federal Government to judge what is right for you.
