In the trenches on climate change, hostility among foes (and the Global Warming fraud is exposed)

Electronic files that were stolen from a prominent climate research center and made public last week provide a rare glimpse into the behind-the-scenes battle to shape the public perception of global warming.

While few U.S. politicians bother to question whether humans are changing the world's climate -- nearly three years ago the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change concluded the evidence was unequivocal -- public debate over the debate persists. And the newly disclosed private exchanges among climate scientists at Britain's Climate Research Unit of the University of East Anglia reveal an intellectual circle that appears to feel very much under attack, and eager to punish its enemies.

In one e-mail, the center's director, Phil Jones, writes Pennsylvania State University's Michael E. Mann and questions whether the work of academics that question the link between human activities and global warming deserve to make it into the prestigious IPCC report, which represents the global consensus view on climate science.

"I can't see either of these papers being in the next IPCC report," Jones writes. "Kevin and I will keep them out somehow -- even if we have to redefine what the peer-review literature is!"

How these people have a job, totally escapes me. As a taxpayer, I have no problem paying taxes to investigate issues, such as environmental issues, acid rain, radiation and such. But, I have this little issue with people telling the truth. If we have 'professionals' who fabricate 'data'; then why am I paying gazillions of my tax dollars into a bogus research facility. As an engineer who has worked over 20 years in the field of R&D; I stand amazed that any Researcher would intentionally fabricate his data to support an agenda - it violates the entire fabric of the study - as if data corruption occurs, you have no idea what is really happening in your project.

So, the first thing we do is fire every scientist, every administrator and every manager - for tolerating this hoax for being perpeturated, and creating an environment where this could even have possibly occurred. Then we hire fresh people off the streets, show and tell them EXACTLY why they have a job today; and that the bums on the street are going bankrupt for a reason - and we try again.

Someone NEEDS to be prosecuted for this collosal fraud against the world! As well, the obama administration should be immediately investigated to find out who knew what, when they knew it, and WHY they allowed this bogus informaiton in the IPCC report to go forward resulting in the world’s largest scam ever- OUR government has scammed us!!! OUR government has cammed businesses!!! Billions have been payed to ‘fix’ somethign that can NEVER be fixed, and which, quite frankly does NOT need to be fixed!!! Nature works fine all by itself!

You can bert your bottom dollar that this administration knew all about hte cover-upd, but decided to push through this assinine global warmign mandate irregardless of whether it was goign to ruin us or not- Where are the GOP DEMANDING a thorough investigation into this? So far, all we’ve got is Inhoffe in essence tellijgn Boxer ‘Nanna-nanna-boo-boo, we win, you lose, get a life’? He shoudl be DEMANDING a complete investigation into this collosal fraud against the public!!!

I also note that fox news isn’t headlining the story, and has written an article that is almost excusatory toward the CRIMINALS who scammed us at hte CUI and IPCC

Some of the emails are just “normal scientific process”. If you have ever tried to publish a paper when your teams’ paper contradicts the published papers of two members of the review committee, you’d recognize the dynamic right away.

In this case we see the behind-the-scenes chatter.

As late as 1912, there were published papers explaining why rocks cannot fall from the sky, so Barringer Crater must have been volcanic.

Well i can understand that, but I just get this sinking feeling that this issue is just goign to fade away just like the liberals want if somethign isn’t done now- already the scam artists are coming out doing ‘spin control’ as they like to call it (meaning they got caught red handed, but will turn iut around to look like htose who caught them are the real bad guys).

This is perhaps THE biggest story ever, concidering how imensley it was goign to affect everyone when the assinine global warmign bills became law, and if htis gets swept under the rug, well, it will just be VERY very dissappoointing and discouraging- the left can NOT win this time- they just can’t- if they do- it will just show that not enough people really give a crap about truth and integrity to stand up agaisnt such massive massive corruption

Like choosing who gets to be on the peer review committee. When you choose, you know what they have published and what their position is. That’s a lot of power!

I have not come across the issue of removing editors, though, but I think it is fundamentally the same as stacking review committees.

From what I have seen, there is much more control exerted in the AGW field. After all, the debate is over (at least if you were the model for Love Story).

I doubt it will come up in the Sunday Talking Heads, but I’ll be pleasantly surprised if it does.

Steve McIntyre of ClimateAudit.org in large part and a lot of others as well - doing reanalysis of PAST research that showed WARMING. SHOwed, warming, keyword here: showed. Showed on account of FAULTY and FLAWED statistical echniques (flawed incomplete, parameterized MODELS showing warmth (when they don't incinerate or freeze up the earth) are another issue) on, in large part tree proxy studies (by Mann in particular.)

IT IS going to take the SAME methodical progress dragging those people KICKING AND SCREAMING back in to the realm of Logos and out of the realm of Mythos -

- and it is going to TAKE some time.

NOT everyone is going to be convinced, until the BELIEVERS simply die off even, AS that is ONE way science progresses ...

I would also suggest once a week checking into www.climateaudit.org and see what Steve McIntyre has commented on; HE has corresponded with A LOT of these persons in the e-mails, and THEY discuss him/his FINDINGS behind his back. THIS is really how this whole brewhaha started: HIS auditing of their work (Prof. Michael E. Mann in particular of 'Hockey STick' fame from the 1st IPCC Assessment Report).

Hint: Don't bother checking CA right now, the site is/has been overloaded ...

This *is* going to take some time to play out, as several parties have (or in the process) file(ing) FOIA requests ... in fact, a not insignificant number of the e-mails discuss this very matter (FOI requests, even deleting of e-mails in anticipation of same)!
