About 1,200 Christian activists mobilized on college campuses nationwide on Wednesday to give away 170,000 copies of Charles Darwin’s On the Origin of Species, the classic text on evolution. The book, however, contains a ‘Special Introduction’ by evangelist Ray Comfort that argues against Darwin’s theory and presents a creationist alternative to man’s origins and nature’s growth.
The free book-giveaway has angered a number of atheists and prompted evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins, a former Oxford University and University of California professor and one of the leading spokesmen for atheism and evolution, to encourage people to “just rip out” the 50-page introduction.

they preach and shout tolerance and yet when one gives another view to theirs they try and silence it with either PC or name calling or then violence(that is if they are attacking an old lady but they would never try it with a guy or fighting age or someone who can fight back , even if the numbers are in their favor)

There is no such thing as an “open minded Liberal” today. Liberals are a far cry from what our Founders would have called “liberal.” The term has been hopelessly perverted.
These atheists like Richard Dawkins don’t desire discussion, diversity or debate. They desire only that others recognize their intellectual superiority and give them the “authority” they deserves as Darwin’s most evolved creatures.
The time is coming that these peoplke won’t be satisfied with merely tearing pages out of one of their holy texts, but they will actively seek to “rip out” those “neanderthals” who still cling to such superstitions as God, Creation and Moral Truth. That time is approaching rapidly.

So much for the “universities” encouraging the “free expression of ideas”!
I can see people getting upset if this were a Holy text of a respected religion, but Darwin books are just old, ordinary books aren’t they?

Perhaps you failed to notice that Darwin’s Theory of Evolution does not seek to explain creation. Darwin even cites a “Creator” in the Origin of Species.
Darwin said the thought of the eye made his blood run cold. He said seeing a peacock plume made him sick to his stomach.
The Truth Project is FANTASTIC. I just watched Ben Stein’s movie, Expelled, last night. Very good. By the end he actually had Dawkins admitting he entertains the idea of ID, as long as the intelligence is an alien life form.
I know Dawkins’ Atheism Campaign is anti-God because God tells us how to raise children:
