Read the full bill
Read the tax revenue score from the Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT)
Read the budget and tax score from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO)
Individual Mandate Tax (Page 324/Sec. 1501/$8 bil): Starting in 2014, anyone not buying qualifying health insurance must pay an income surtax according to the following schedule (capped at 8 percent of income):

1. First of all, I find it disturbing by the number or so have replied to this thread so far, one night before this so called “vote.”
2. I believe they (D.C.ers) are counting on their own electorate, through D.C. Beltway deception (i.e “healthcare” “ D.C. care), not to see this as it really is, pension and salaries for the D.C. Eastern Coast Beltway.....Also as a PR claim to the public (and Chinese) that the budget is now balanced, and to avoid printing $ (inflating) their own pensions due to investment loses over a year ago.
3. Notice that this so called “healthcare” is being done first, before “job-care”. Those that think they have jobs created through “job-care” will have their money funneled right into this “D.C. healthcare”. And would not be surprised to see glorified work camps as a result of “job-care”.
4. I think that the first pro-active counter to this is:
1. Direct advertising where each one of these House and Senate members voting this as “Yea”, see their faces and “Yeah” vote front page and center ALONG WITH same page list of taxes with this bill on the opposite front page.....as soon as the newspaper or other media is opened. The media chosen is something their constituents must be exposed to daily (multiple time per day).
2. A new collective resource web site needs to be started immediately (with secure/protected log-in), with a list started with those victims that are harmed under this “bill”. I.e. families out of work forced to pay a tax on this..confirmed names named/location, with and by secure log-in and confirmation process, individuals fined, families/individuals taxed and fined and the amount of fines listed AND the accumulated fines as THEY ADD UP YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR, to where property is confiscated or gone into forced sale...., businesses hurt by this tax....named businesses and addresses listed, number of lay-offs as a result, hikes in the cost of doing business, hikes in the final product price, and legal/compliance fees, businesses/families/individuals names and faces who are paying more on their “insurance” plans, etc., (Links on the web site could be categorized/per above). testimonies included. Finally, there would need to be a prepared counter measure to such a site in the event dummy or counter-sites rise from entrenched interests.
Well in that case, you just need to add a NEW RELIGIOUS RULE...
Keep calling!
“$500,000 Annual Executive Compensation Limit for Health Insurance Executives (Page 2035/Sec. 9014/$0.6 bil)”
Well, first it was the bankers, then the auto execs. In those cases, the companies were injected with cash from the Treasury. I guess this bill really is a takeover of the health insurance industry.
doubtful. isn’t that SEIU?
That is a lot of the problem. Too many poo-pooers and not enough do-doers!
They are not this stupid, are they?
&&&
If it was stupidity I would not be so afraid. They know exactly what they are doing; their goal is to destroy the economy so that they can declare all sorts of emergencies and grab more power.
OK, thanks.
OK, thanks.
FINALLY...some one gets it!
“Isnt Indiana 3rd in medical device manufacutures and Evan Bayh is going to vote for this S**t. Taking about killing a state. LOL!! What an idiot.”
Not an idiot, a whore. They bought him.
B U M P
There are folks working on that angle. The bottom line for me is that we must intimidate them into paying attention. Right now they have no discomfort in what they’re doing to us. Not even the threat of re-election bothers them because they have the $, media, and fraudulent voting in their arsenal.
But but but, Zero and 9%-Nancy said there would be no tax hikes and this plan would magically reduce the deficit.
Americans are gonna get a health care system that is:
- As organized as FEMA
- as sustainable as Social Security
- as quick as the DMV
- as inexpensive as TARP
- and as compassionate as the IRS
Any Questions????
So you believe the Dem majority in both House & Senate will be eradicated in 2010 by this electorate?
I have one. Will it be run as efficiently as the Post Office? /sar
WHere is this place? I’ll be looking for somewhere to work
This just cought my eye.
