This Sunday the Discovery Channel is running two back-to-back documentaries -- "Did the Mob Kill JFK?" and "JFK: The Ruby Connection" -- exploring the role of the Mafia behind the assassination of President John F. Kennedy:
New information and never before heard details of a startling confession raise new questions on just who was behind the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the subsequent killing of Lee Harvey Oswald by Jack Ruby. * * * "I had the little bastard killed. He was a thorn in my shoe" -- according to a secret FBI informant these were the words of his cellmate, Carlos Marcello, the notorious New Orleans mafia boss (one of Americas most powerful mafia godfathers) confessing to his role in orchestrating the Kennedy assassination and featured in Did the Mob Kill JFK." Almost half a century after the assassination, the informant has come forward to provide an exclusive interview that may solve one of the nation's most enduring mysteries and re-write history. * * * Marcello, who controlled mob operations in Louisiana and Texas, had long been suspected in having a hand in the Kennedy assassination. "Did the Mob Kill JFK?" links Marcello with both Oswald and Ruby, as the godfather reveals in his confession that he brought Lee Harvey Oswald into the plot, telling the informant that "He was my man. He did what the hell I told him to do." Marcello also admits that Dallas strip club owner Jack Ruby was deeply in debt and "owed him big." The special draws on an array of historians, investigators and eyewitness accounts, including interviews with author Lamar Waldron and former Secret Service agent Abraham Bolden who claims an aborted attempt on the President's life in Chicago early in November was covered up.

I did not know that Johnson thought he was about to be indicted. It makes his post-meeting statement to her more damning and strengthens his motivation to kill Kennedy.
The video also reveals her motivation: the mistreatment of their son and the "disappearance" of the nanny. This may be seen by some as reason to manufacture a story, but her facial expressions and body language appear to indicate honesty to me.
Nah, not blaming anyone. Just wondering why he changed his name.
Yep. It reminds me of the "clues" right in front of our eyes with regard to Nidal Hasan.
If you do, I have bridges and ocean front land in Nevada to sell.
Oswald was spotted at the Carousel Lounge indeed, and conversing with Ruby, the owner.
You may not agree with all of Peter Dale Scott’s writings, but in his exposition of the Mob, Wire Fraud and Transfer, and how Ruby’s role and history within the Chicago Mob played into his move to Dallas and subsequent events, it is intriguing to say the least.
Oswald alone.
He was a left wing commie radical with delusions of grandeur, when he finally came back from Russia he was expecting massive throngs of reporters, what he got was NOTHING. He tried to commit suicide the first time the Russians wanted to send him back to America.
He had tried to assassinate Right Wing General Walker a short time before he got the opportunity to shoot Kennedy.
Oswald was a bad shot MYTH, his records are available, he was a Sharpshooter, a better than average shot for a Marine and compared to the General Public, an excellent shot. His worst field performance was his last one when he was disillusioned with the Marines and trying to get out.
He was an open Communist in the Marines, the other Marines took to calling him Oswaldski which he took a liking to. He was regarded by most of the other Marines as a flake.
The shooting from the Texas School Book Depository was not that hard and has been recreated numerous times. The rifle was FINE, another myth.
There were 2 employees from the TSBD one floor directly below when the assassination took place. They testified to hearing BOOM, click, click BOOM, click click BOOM. They testified to the action of Oswalds rifle long before Oswalds rifle was found. They reported this right away, its part of the reason the TSBD was being swarmed after the shooting. A parade watcher who was facing the TSBD SAW the shooter in the window.
Computer recreations have proven that the shots came from Oswalds perch.
The magic bullet wasnt magic at all, when placing the occupants properly in the limo the way they were at the shooting, the shots line up perfectly. Another myth.
Ruby was known as a braggard and blowhard, the absolute LAST person the mafia or anyone else would involve in a grand conspiracy to kill the POTUS. He thought he was going to be an American hero for killing Oswald, he thought no one would convict him. Oswald was delayed being moved, if he was moved on time Ruby wouldnt have had a chance, he got there just as Oswald was being moved, pure luck. Ruby was a known CLOWN, not some mafia bigwig.
So many myths, so little time.
All these criss crossing conspiracies involving so many people.
The JFK assassination is NO DIFFERENT FROM 9/11.
There is overwhelming evidence that OSWALD and ISLAMICS both did the crimes.
Still Millions get sucked into the vortex instead of looking at it rationally, if people would take time to dissect the conspiracy theories about JFK the way they did with 9/11 conspiracy theories they would come to the same conclusion.
Oswald and the Terrorists are both obviously guilty and any other position is simply ridiculous.

If you have any interest at all in the JFK assassination you should watch these.

It was 1968 and Johnny Carson ripped him a new one, nicely. Listen to what a crackpot Garrison is in his own words. Carson give him plenty of rope to hang himself and Garrison complies.
Well, I don’t dismiss many accounts surrounding the Kennedy assassination. I listen. I file them away and try to remember them later, if something connects.
I was watching the footage of the Dallas police station, and couldn’t fathom the complete and total access the press had, making it nearly impossible to even move Oswald between rooms right next to each other.
The press was conduction short questioning all the while.
It was as if the police didn’t have a single clue that this situation could lead to problems. Ruby’s access to the basement exit was problematic. The press didn’t belong there either.
If a person wanted to, he could point to the situation at the police station and conclude that it might be possible that they were allowing access to Oswald to cover up.
I just consider it incompetence to the max, but it could easily raise questions.
BTW, the media says Kennedy was the last President to ride in an open limo. I don’t believe that was true. I waved at Gerald Ford in Glendale, California driving away from the city office building in 1976. He was in an open top car. I flashed him the “V” for victory sign, and he flashed it back. I may be remembering it inaccurately, but that’s my recollection.
“If the mob were involved.......it wouldnt have been so messy and no one would know - ever.”
You know this because of all the famous murders of high officials the mafia’s committed that no one knows about?
American mafiosos don’t go after power. It’s as simple as that. Michael may have killed that police captain in The Godfather, but the president? Ridiculous risk for absolutely no guaranteed benefit. Utterly fanciful.
“I have always believed the mob killed JFK and Oswald was killed to keep him quiet.”
Oswald had two whole days to speak before Ruby silenced him. Oh, and Ruby had a chance to kill him earlier but didn’t. Great plan, mafia.
“Ruby was the perfect hit man because he was going to croak anyway.”
Dude, he died about 4 years after his arrest. That’s enough time to spill the beans. Again, whatta plan, mafia.
“Simply download the Z film and watch Ks head be blown backwards as his brain matter explodes over the trunk of the limo”
I’m sorry to be so blunt, but I’ve heard this so many times it’s getting too annoying to hold back. There is no brain matter on the back of the limo. I don’t know what film you’re watching. Whether or not the head goes backwards, clearly the FRONT of his head explodes, which is consistent with a rear shooter. Finally, if you would be so kind as to view the frame closest to before the shot and closest to immediately after the shot, you’d see his head undeniably moves forward as soon as the blood cloud appears.
“If not for the film the gvmnt would have gotten away with it.”
More like if not for the misguided conspiracy theorists unceasingly blabbering about in their countless volumes and journalists and Hollywood, for whatever reason—if not catalyzing it then at least not ignoring it as they should—the film wouldn’t mean much more to people than, “Eww, the president’s head exploded!”
“Im probably not expressing this well”
Don’t bother too much; it’s a pretty common tale. Most assassins of famous people lately have been lone nuts who wanted to be remembered and were perhaps motivated by ideology. But just because they want history to write down their names does not mean they want to be caught and put to death. They’re not martyrs.
“When I was fifteen...”
All that based on what you took in from a radio show years ago? How about you crack the books and learn what a thug and self-promoter Garrison was. I mean, come on, Clay Shaw? Who was he kidding?
“There may even have been more than two separate groups trying to kill JFK that day, but only two of them hit their target.”
Slow down for a tick and think on how silly that sounds. Two seperate shooters just happen to decide to show up same day, same place? The odds must be astronomical. Throw in the fact that no evidence (aside from your mysterious reference to ballistics demonstrating more than one type of bullet) was found for the other shooter, and I’ll pass on your theory.
“Not saying who killed JFK, buy Marcello had a motive.”
There’s a reason motive is not an element of crime in our criminal justice system. For any one victim, there could be a hundred people who had a reason to kill him. In JFKs case, many groups hated him, but most of the ones people love to conjecture about had much, much more reason not to act out on those feelings.
Take Castro (please). JFKs dead. Does that mean things are better? No. And what if we find out? What would stop us from invading in revenge? Russia? Screw them, we’ve got nukes. Are they going to risk war, with crap ICBMs and no intermediate rangers, over Cuba, after what they did?
The mafia. Whatever “deal” they may have had (for which there is no evidence), Who’s to say Bobby’s even gone? Who’s to say the government treats them better without Bobby? Things weren’t exactly on the rise after the early 60s, were they? What kind of insane risk is it to possibly draw the most negative attention they could possibly draw? They’re businessmen, of a sort. They aren’t Hatfields and McCoys. That’s why they don’t kill authorities over here (Sicily’s another matter). Never have, as a rule.
Russia? Is LBJ better? And what if we find out? Again, we’ve got the BOMB.
The CIA? Kennedy may have been pissed. The notion that he would have disbanded them stretches credulity. What would have happened had anyone found out what they did, on the other hand, almost guarantees they’d either be disbanded or on the outside watching other people do their job.
“and look....the bastards have radicals controlling the government anyway.”
Exactly! We’ve got a long line of suits standing in line for the Highest Office. What good does killing one do? What did the mafia, the CIA, the FBI, etc. hope to gain from LBJ? Maybe he was a little more corrupt, a little more willing to throw around graft, but come on. It’s such an unbelievably huge risk to take with little or no assurance of any benefit whatsoever.
The only people who truly hope to benefit from political murder (in otherswise peaceful and powerful countries) are fame-whores and/or wacky ideologues. The sort of people, in the latter case, who think the workers of the world unite one day and overthrow the Fat Cats, so long as we give them a little nudge. The are the sort of people Oliver Stone want us to believe are smoking cigars in backrooms deciding the fate of the world when they’re not running giant corporations or shuffling papers in the federal government. Oh, and they also do it for the money, but mostly for vast right-winginess.
In reality, Stone’s people have too much to lose. Plus, Obama’s in office now, so lotta good those reactionary warriors did us. It’s those who are already losers who carry it out.
“On the front page of the New Orleans newspaper evening edition on Nov. 21, there was a story about how Carlos Marcello was going on trial for something the next day, I think to be deported, the day Kennedy was assassinated. I dont know if there is any connection or not, but it does seem to be very coincidental.”
Killing Kennedy would help him how?
Or do mafiosos go around killing people to take out their anger on “The Man”. Ah, that must be why they were able to operate without the government’s consistent attention on such a grand scale for so many years. Because they killed powerful and famous people on a whim.
