This Sunday the Discovery Channel is running two back-to-back documentaries -- "Did the Mob Kill JFK?" and "JFK: The Ruby Connection" -- exploring the role of the Mafia behind the assassination of President John F. Kennedy:

I did two hours of interviews with Mark Lane in his Washington DC home after he won his case against Hunt, and right before the JFK movie was released....(he actually had a pre release copy on his table)
Mark’s First book, Rush To Judgement presented all the problems with the Oswald did it story 40 years ago, and his points still hold today......

My mother saved the newspapers from the Kennedy assassination, including the one from the day before. On the front page of the New Orleans newspaper evening edition on Nov. 21, there was a story about how Carlos Marcello was going on trial for something the next day, I think to be deported, the day Kennedy was assassinated. I don’t know if there is any connection or not, but it does seem to be very coincidental.
The mob boss didn’t like kennedy boinking his girl.
Well it was the mob that got Kennedy elected, from Chicago to WVa. And then his self-important little brother, Bobby, decided to investigate the engineers of Jack’s victory!
Just an FYI, Jack Ruby’s name used to be Jack Rubinstein.

Look folks, Lee Harvey Oswald killed John F. Kennedy. He did it entirely alone at a moment of opportunity with only a day's notice. He was a creepy little commie ACLU and Castro-loving fink who murdered the President of the United States with a mail-order surplus rifle. Ever since that day, left wing scumbags have been doing everything in their power to cloud and confuse the issue with all of this Giancana/Cuban exiles/Clay Shaw/CIA/FBI/OSS/KGB/missing brain/false autopsy absolute F'ing bullshit that dipwads who are easily fooled and thrilled by espionage novels love to help keep the lies going.

The “theory” is that Kennedy was killed by the American Mafia because Bobby Kennedy came after them, despite the fact that Joseph Kennedy had cut a deal with Sam Giancana over the West Virginia primary and the graveyard vote in Illinois. This “might” be a reasonable explanation, except for the fact that it leaves no explanation for Oswald’s role in the president’s killing.
Okee Dokee. Are you even aware as to why I say that the Fed could be behind it?
Not to mention the numerous computer and live recreations of the shooting that show time after time after time that it was Lee Harvey Oswald, deranged communist "progressive" who also tried to assassinate General Walker weeks before.
Ruby, known blowhard and quack who thought he would be a national hero for killing Oswald, he thought no jury would convict him, he was a delusional sort who thought he would get a medal.
Yeah........the never ending conspiracy theories continue.
Oswald did it alone and Ruby was lucky to have a shot at Oswald as they were over an hour late bringing down and Ruby just happened to be at the Western Union Office nearby.
Pure luck and coincidence. 2 best books, Case Closed by Posner and 4 days in November, a more recent book by Vincent Bugliosi. Both conclude Oswald acted entirely alone.

Having read a few books on the topic (my father died earlier in 1963 when I was 5, so I took a bit of interest as I grew older).
Nothing I have read gets me to the place that LHO was smart enough or committed (witness his “defection”) enough to have pulled this off by himself. That being said, none of the conspiracy theories hold water, either.
But at this point, I think who ever was involved is pushing up daisies now.
