Obama says it: There's a chance he won't run in 2012

In an interview with CNN in China, President Obama opened the possibility to not running for re-election in 2012 -- something that no president has done since Lyndon Johnson.

Here's what he said:

"You know, if - if I feel like I've made the very best decisions for the American people and three years from now I look at it and, you know, my poll numbers are in the tank and because we've gone through these wrenching changes, you know, politically, I'm in a tough spot, I'll - I'll feel all right about myself," Obama told CNN's Ed Henry.

"I said to myself very early on, even when I started running for office, I don't want to be making decisions based on getting re-elected, because I think the challenges that America faces right now are so significant," the president also said.

There’s a chance he won’t run in 2012,.......................... Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice,..er....you’re not going to do it again??? :^) He’ll be lucky to hold on to his present term if he keeps this up. It may turn out like the scene from the Frankenstein movie, where the villagers come with torches and pitchforks.

It’s not what Obama says he will do, it’s what Obama does. He talks in circles. Haven’t you people figured that out?

Ah. That explains the 250,000 "present" votes as State Senator.

Resign due to “health problems” - i.e. drug addiction and nervous breakdown.

helped along by mounting lawsuits and leakage about his actual life and past.

Won’t need an election if they suspend the constitution.

That's what *he* thinks. Guess what, no Constitution equals even more shaky legitimacy than he has already. *THAT* is the one thing which would set off this already tinderbox nation....

He’s a slacker! Goes to his office between 9-10 in the morning. Last meetings of his day usually start at 5 or 5:30.

Lazy bum.

This past weekend, I got a phone call from an older friend from my highschool and college days.

We discussed 0b0z0, and I compared him to Carter. My friend said that comparison was valid, however, he saw 0b0z0 more like LBJ.

My friend reminded me of LBJ creating the Great Society, his guns and butter program and over control of our military which angered independents and conservatives in both parties.

Then LBJ poed the left wingers like Fonda/Kerry, Kennedy and other anti war peaceniks.

LBJ got daily verbal kickings, stompings and in your face protests from both sides. He became miserable like the country was and became a one term president.

We agreed that maybe 0b0z0 is a combination of LBJ/Carter.

It all boils down to this: B-HO knows he has painted himself into a corner by not being able to produce a valid birth certificate, or explain the coverup of a multitude of other personal records. He will not be able to run for President again without a valid BC, therefore he cannot run. Looks like the Birther’s have done some good after all!

At least I don’t think Hillary hates the US — I always keep it in the back of my mind that she comes from a different background and was a Goldwater Girl in ‘64 before turning to the dark side. I think she’d be as pliable as was hubby ‘slick’ who oftentimes seems to me to be governing from the center.

True, and he doesn’t possess any work ethic at all so no motivation to keep going. He can hang it up citing all those mean white racists who’ve done him in — what a tool

I read it the same way you did. You could say he raised the possibility that he may not win, but I didn't see any indication that he might not run.

My take is that if he thinks he cannot win, he won't attempt re-election. His ego simply would not allow that kind of loss.
