I said it before the dem nomination was even final that I’d take Hillary over Obama if it had to be one of the two. I wanted the 2 best potential presidents to be the two top candidates.

Perhaps this is a hint into the deal Obama made with the Clintons.

The Clintons back off, Hillary gets Sec of State to gain foreign policy experience, Obama loads up the administration with Clintonistas, Obama expends all dem political capital to launch the marxist revolution, Hillary, still viable and relatively popular is able to wage a credible campaign in 2012.

Call it the New Jersey strategy. In the event you are about to lose a senate seat in a blue state, have the unpopular senator resign and appoint a viable one. In this case have the unpopular president not run and give a viable dem a chance to hold the office.
