What about the other 7 states?

Yeah, but Mississippi is cool.

Doesn’t surprise me. I love my adopted state of Texas, but visited my home state of Colorado recently, and it’s remarkable how much thinner the population is as a whole.

I see Louisiana is ranked 47th. There is no state where I would rather kill myself, meal by precious meal.

Uh....Washington is 11? I don't think so.

And how is California not at the bottom?

Well, if those northerers would stay up north, instead of retiring down south, the south would be higher on that list.

Texas is 39? Everyone I know here is healthy. I must hang out in the wrong circles.

If all of Mississippi’s African-Americans would suddenly relocate to Vermont, both states probably would then rank somewhere between no. 20 and no. 30 on the list.

I would rather die young than live in one of those COLD states at the top of this list. Today in Texas we have 60 degrees sunny and dry and it will be like this until next summer. I love it. We are outside all the time.

Take a look at the demographics of the leading states and you start to see some explanation.

I'll bet that if you convert 37% (Mississippi), 26% (Alabama) and 32% (Louisiana) of the population in the leading states to have the same Black population as the Southern states, you'll get the same results there.

I have a hard time believing Vermont beat Utah...must be a faulty ranking system. There are more beautiful babes in Utah than anywhere I have ever been! The state boasts the most educated workforce, fewest sick days taken, and a hell of a great place to live, ski, relax, workout, and just about anything you can think of that is positive. What does Vermont boast about besides having Maple Syrup? Where the hell is Vermont anyway? Is it part of the Continental US??? I thought it was a suburb of some city or something. I know I get some dingy catalog that sells products from Vermont like Maple Syrup and such...it is about a 1/4 inch thick. Not much there evidently... :)

And I’m kinda interested in moving to one of the bottom 16.

If we got rid of the illegals flooding the emergancy rooms California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas would move up the list considerably!!!

WooHoo! Go Mississippi, keep rolling along!

There are lots of healthy people in Mississippi, and I daresay quite a few unhealthy ones in Vermont. Vermont is a lovely state, in the Fall, but I have no desire to live there, it's too dang COLD, much of the time!
