Fifty-nine percent (59%) of Republican voters say former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin shares the values of most GOP voters throughout the nation.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 21% of Republican voters disagree and think the 2008 vice presidential candidate does not share their values. Twenty percent (20%) are undecided.
By contrast, 74% of Republicans say their partys representatives in Congress have lost touch with GOP voters nationwide over the past several years. Only 18% of Republican voters believe their elected officials have done a good job representing the base.

90% of the republican vote + 0% independent/democratic vote = lost election.
>> It is more than emotionalism. &etc
VERY well said, FRiend.
+1
Naaah.
YOU will implode.
I'd back Sarah Palin over you any day.
“Sarah was terrible. (but they were only a few seconds on tape)”
Are you sure you are on the right site?
Daily Kos still have plenty of openings for the PDS sufferers, and over there they give you a prize for such drivel too. Try it some time.
Politicians double dip all the time. They run for a higher office while at the same time, they try to keep their current job. They either short change the people that they work for or they get some LTD. Governor to do the work while they still maintain their job title and salary.
Either case is LESS ethical then somebody who resigns their post to prepare to run for a higher office.
It's simple common sense really.
Yet, Old Hoosier and his can't-think-for-themselves, politically correct elk don't understand it.
Very significant findings. The RNC and the RINOs in elephant’s clothing want us to believe that Sarah’s values and views represent a fringe minority of extremists. They deny the truth at their peril.
You're posting hypothetical nonsense.
All internet reports I’ve seen this morning from people who caught the show in markets where it’s on early are that Palin did great.
lol (elk?)
Perhaps you'd much rather have a terrorist loving communist, who votes “present a 100 times, has ZERO executive experience, and doesn't share any views with you sitting in the White House, yes?.
"The emotionalism of the connections between some Freepers and Mrs. Palin is a little unnerving...."
Naaaaah. It's the reflex anti-Palin basing, and the mindless repeating of DUMMY/State Run Media talking points on this borad by agenda driven posters, that is truly disturbing.
"this sort of idolatry of a politician (who are at best, our mildly incompetent hired help)"
There is no idolatory. This country is fighting for it's very survival and fighting for it's very soul. This is no time for half measures. We need the candidate in 2012 who has the will, and the strength of character, determnation and will power to sweep away 0bozo's nation detsroying policies if she should win.
" is far more suited to leftists, who view the political arena as mankind's highest achievement."
We don't.
Because after the primaries, even the worst Republican candidates(like McCain for example), still end up getting around 90% of the Republican vote in the general elections. It happens time after time.
More like, 90% of the Republican vote, plus over 50% of independents equals win.
You must have missed the poll which had Sarah Palin beating Biden amongst independents, just a couple of weeks ago.
According to this Rasmussen poll, Palin’s overall Fav/Unfav now stands at 51/43, the highest I’ve seen them since last year. She now beats Obama’s numbers which are 50/49 according to Rasmussen this morning.
Sarah Palins political action committee, facing scrutiny from the Federal Election Commission, revealed Monday that it had recently made contributions to a raft of mostly conservative Republicans, including Reps. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota and Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, Virginia gubernatorial candidate Bob McDonnell and Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Orrin Hatch of Utah.
Those contributions, some of which were disclosed in a Friday FEC report, combined with earlier donations to the reelection campaigns of Sens. John McCain of Arizona and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, brought Palins committee, Sarah PAC, to the five-candidate contribution minimum necessary for it to be considered a multi-candidate political action committee under federal rules.
Sarah is "anti-Rino"? Yeah, right/s
These Republicans who were polled just haven't figured it out yet.
They were stunned to find out that Fred, although he was (and is) a thoroughly consistent conservative and an excellent speaker in an informal setting, was completely clueless about how to run a political campaign and how to counteract a freezeout from the MSM.
Only time will tell if Sarah Palin is Fred, take 2. I hope she is not. But I'm reserving judgment until there's more proof on the table.
This is why the libs are scared to death of Sarah. They will do everything to take her down.
Brooks, Nooner, Parker shares the values of 10% of Repub voters which is why they are our spokesmen.

It cant make you happy or healthy or wealthy or wise. What can? It is the wisdom of the people and our families and our small businesses and industrious individuals. And it is Gods grace helping those who help themselves." - Sarah Palin, July 26, 2009SARAH'S FAREWELL SPEECH AS GOVERNOR - GREAT READ
Sarah still has the left, the DNC, the MSM and the RINOs all in a frenzy wondering what her next move will be and how it will be perceived...they almost literally froth at the mouth in their efforts to discredit her.
While they do this, and further discredit themselves in the process, Sarah is going on tour to give speeches and promote conservatie principles all over this country in the midst of the Obama administration disaster and gain great political capital in the process.
Then she will support conservative candidates in 2010 and help them win, amassing much more political capital. She will then take all of that capital and make an awesome, stunning, and successful run for the Presidency in 2012.
"...like that grizzly guards her cubs, as a mother naturally guards her own. I will keep that vow wherever the road may lead." - Sarah Palin, July 26, 2009
