US President Barack Obama (L) shakes hands with his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao.
US President Barack Obama (L) shakes hands with his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao during the photo session in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Singapore on November 14. News photos of President Barack Obama bowing to Japan's emperor have incensed critics here, who said the US leader should stand tall when representing America overseas.

Makes sense to me... but my concern as an American is would our people understand the subtleties of a Japanese bow enough to do it correctly? It's definitely NOT the same as bowing to a Saudi - which is the equivalent of bowing to a king... but still wouldn't it have been better just to stay with a handshake? I wouldn't want some Japanese dignitary trying to do a “jive” type “handshake” as it would be inappropriate...

from a different post...

I agree. I go to Drudge many times a day and he had that picture up that first day. Fast for him. I have not viewed the video yet.

thanks for the ping, Lucy.
There’s no doubt in my mind he made that ridiculous bow only to cover for his act of submission to his Saudi master.

Rahm is a reprehensible KAPO. Look up the history of the word Kapo and start with the Nazi Concentration camps.
Very appropriate, IMO, relative to this traitor.

He had the picture up fast then yesterday all of the Obama bowing to Japanese emperor stories on his page and picture- went away. I guess he was updating —all— of the stories including the video.
Here is the video as headlined on Drudge

Lol, yes, he posted Chavez with “Chavez asks Cuba to bomb clouds because of drought”. Plus a headline about the climate deal being delayed.
Suddenly Obama is ‘delaying’ a number of things!
Thanks for the video link!
