National Tour Culminates with Rally in Orlando

 

ORLANDO, FL -- THURSDAY, NOV. 12TH - 6:00 PM - Lake Eola Park

 

(ORLANDO, FLORIDA) - The national, cross-country Tea Party Express II: Countdown to Judgment Day (www.TeaPartyExpress.org) tour has arrived in Orlando, FL for what will be the exciting culmination of a 40-city tour. The Tea Party Express launched from San Diego on October 25th, and has crossed the country holding Tea Party rallies in support of conservative principles.

 

More than 50,000 people have participated in the tea party rallies during this tour alone.

  The Tea Party Express II slogan, “Countdown to Judgment Day” refers to the one-year mark ahead of the 2010 congressional elections.

 

“Tens of thousands of everyday conservative Americans have attended these Tea Party rallies, which are meant to entertain, educate, and most of all unify Americans to oppose the insidious encroachment of government control, highlighted by the hostile takeover of healthcare currently being attempted,” said Joe Wierzbicki, head organizer of the Tea Party Express.

 

 

 

The Tea Party Express II caravan features two 44-foot coaches along with a group of several support vehicles, and will host rallies with conservative speakers and singers. These stops are part of a national tour that has spaned 19 days, 40 cities, and covered more than 8,000 miles.  The tour marks the one-year point from the 2010 elections, when numerous members of Congress will be targeted for defeat as a result of their support of higher deficits, growth in the size and intrusiveness of government, higher taxes, bailouts and more.

The Tea Party Express II is a 19-day, 8,000-mile plus journey across the country with a caravan of vehicles holding tea party rallies in 40 cities across America.  The Tea Party Express is advocating for less government spending, an end to the bailouts, lower taxes, opposition to government-run healthcare and opposition to the growth in the size and intrusiveness of government in general.

I certainly agree! I knew Mike would wow the crowd!

Many Floridians got to hear Mike speak in Sarasota last June when his speech was red meat on the educational side. In other words he informed the crowd about corruption and the kinds of dirty dealings that go on behind the scenes in politics.

Now in Orlando we got to see Mike fire up the crowd to get the job done in 2010! It was obvious the crowd though he was awesome too!

Thanks again for asking me to speak at the rally. Even with all the snafus, we got the job done. Next time, WE need to control the agenda to ensure that all the bases are covered. This is no time to let amateurs lead us into battle.

We’ve lined up Lt. Col. Allen West for an evening fundraising event here in Sarasota Dec. 15. He can win District 22 and take back a seat from the Dems. But he needs $$$ to be viable, and more exposure around the state and the nation. Please mark your calendars now and plan to attend. If you thought I can throw out red meat, wait until you see Col. West toss it out. He makes me look like a choir boy.

I saw your reply about posting pictures

In case you still want to know about posting a picture, this is how I do it:

Since the picture must reside at a website, you would go to a free picture hosting site like this one...

Sign up for an account. Then you upload the picture from your computer to your page at the website. Click on "Choose File" on your page there...this opens a list of photos on your computer where you highlight the name of the picture file you want and then click "Choose" at the bottom.

This takes you back to your page at the website where you click on the "Upload" button. The picture is then copied to the website. Look for the title "Grab Your Code" on the page, and highlight and copy the code in the box where it says "HTML for Websites".

I don't know much about HTML code, but usually I enter any textual reply first (in the FR reply box), then type < p > to add a blank line between the text and the picture (eliminate the spaces between the p and the symbols though).

Then copy the "HTML for Websites" code from TinyPic into the reply box. When you click on "Preview" you should see the picture. I'll try one here...

[Normally when one is typing a reply in the "Your Reply" box, "what you see is what you get", i.e. you can use "Enter" to create blank lines between paragraphs of text. However, if any HTML code is introduced into the reply box, then you must use the < p > symbol (no spaces) at the end of each paragraph, or it will all run together.]

One of the best tutorials for beginners is Dave's HTML Tutor. He also has CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and Web Design tutorials for beginners. If you want something much more in depth, there are some great tutorials and references at W3Schools.com that allow you to practice your code and immediately see the results. Just remember, however, that not all HTML commands are supported here on FR.

I frequent a website where if you want to post a pic, all you have to do is copy and paste- (you don’t have to have a photo host, just run your mouse over the pic and paste it to the site) and you never have problems with things running together no matter what you are posting. Wish we had that here.

"The Florida division of the Free Republic Air Force (FFRAF) launched a mission to salute the arrival of the TEA Party Express to Orlando Florida Thursday night. A USA flag was displayed at the start and end of each message. Here were the messages: "FLORIDA WELCOMES THE TEA PARTY EXPRESS!" - "GOD BLESS AMERICA, THANK YOU VETERANS!" ( Fire works accompanying sign) - "PINK SLIP CONGRESS IN 2010!" - "WE WILL NOT BE EUROPE OR CUBA!" - "WE HAVE A CONSTITUTION, OBEY IT!" Then: "REPLACE CONGRESS IN 2010!" This was the big send off as the crowd heads home after 8PM.
