MARLOW HEIGHTS, Md. - U.S. Park Police say a man was fatally struck by two U.S. Secret Service vehicles at a Suitland Parkway intersection.
Secret Service spokesman Malcolm Wiley says the two armored vehicles were traveling from Andrews Air Force Base to a Washington garage when the pedestrian was hit around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Suitland Parkway and Naylor Road in Temple Hills.
Wiley says the vehicles were returning from a vice presidential trip to Fort Lewis in Washington state. He says the Secret Service employees driving the vehicles immediately stopped to help the man.

Yep, that’s it. If you look at that map, you’ll see something called “Legend Nightclub”. It’s a live-music nightclub. At 2:30 in the morning, I’m guessing it’s a drunk that wondered away from that nightclub.
Bingo.
America.
Certainly not. Just imagine if this had been a vehicle returning from a VP Cheney event....
Ok, one vehicle hitting him is an accident but two vehicles?!?
“...and wondering aimlessly...”
I think we’ve all been ‘wondering aimlessly’ for about a year now, LOL!
When all else fails, drive into the river,
leave the scene and act confused.
A large intersection in the dark and the type of people who hang out or live in the area are prone to ignore traffic signals.
There is no or little lighting on that part of the Parkway.
Hmmmm.....Remember the fun the libs had with Dick Cheney’s hunting accident?Ain’t karma a b*tch!
Seems it would have been more fitting if it were an Amtrack train.
#2 it is.
Don’t forget Rick Sanchez
My question also.
They travel very fast and very close together. The routes are usually shut down ahead of them too so this guy probably had some clue something was coming along. It’s sort of like getting run over by a parade.
He was apparently rushing to fix another gaffe.
It doesn’t sound like the vehicles had any VIPs in them. They were taking the vehicles back to a garage in DC, so it doesn’t sound like the road would have been shut down.
That’s right - they were returning to a garage.
I posted this story, in part, to show the discrepancy in how the media covers stories from different administrations. There is a distinct double standard.
Well, it’s unfortunate the man was killed, but I guarantee he was stoned or drunk. And I’d bet he ran out in the way of the vehicle(s) all of which are driven (and manned) by Secret Service, not the POTUS or VPOTUS.
There is NO missing a presidential or vice presidential motorcade. It’s an entire fleet of limos, vans, etc. All the cross streets are blocked off along the entire route. It’s a royal pain, actually, if you get caught in one.
