Barack Obama's speech commemorating Veterans Day at Arlinton Cemetery this morning was received with stony silence by those in attendance.
What should have been applause lines for Obama about caring for our veterans drew no cheers, no clapping and no 'hooahs'.
There was no Prince-concert-squealing for Obama like there was yesterday at the Fort Hood memorial service. In fact there was no cheering at all for the commander-in-chief in a time of war. Just polite, subdued applause when Obama was introduced and when he conluded his speech.
In contrast, a randomly selected Veterans Day speech by President George W. Bush shows numerous interruptions for applause.
A transcript of Bush's 2004 speech includes notations of eight interruptions for applause before the final notation of applause at the conclusion of his speech.

I live in a VERY liberal city and the so called open minded progressive are all too happy to see this country go to ruin.
Their hatred of GW Bush, all conservative ideals and any thing Christian has permanently blinded them.
What I saw was a traitor reading to our Troops.
I saw this traitor, Obama, promise our Troops that he would take care of them when they returned home.
This promise was made, even though it was just a few months ago that Obama tried to force our injured service folks to pay for their own medical care.
This promise was made, even though he has refused to send our fighting Troops the needed and requested reinforcement, while he stands back and watches the KIA numbers reach new records.
This promise was made, even though it was just a few days ago that he so callously barfed up his dumb ass “shout-out” speech.
This promise was made, even though he has already broken nearly every promise he has made during his campaign... “not a single dime”.
This promise was made, even though he has done nothing to encourage job growth during the year he’s been in office.... the returning Troops fight for our freedoms, only to return to a broken country with less freedom... through no fault of their own.
This promise was made, even though their Military service will now make them targets of Obama’s Homeland Security.
This promise was made, even though the votes of our Troops are never counted.
This promise was made, even though the political party he leads has long had the “they killed them in cold blood” mentality.
This promise was made, even though this POS has had a long history of hating our Military, so much so, that he has gone around the world apologizing to our enemies. Not once has this white hating piece of garbage apologized to our Troops that were wrongfully arrested and tried for, “killed in cold blood” lies made by his own party.
Obama’s promises don’t mean jack. Words, they are just empty words.
It is not surprising that the lying and likely corrupt enemy within was not cheered.

I too woke up this morning to a rainy day, and I also work for a TPA in MD, and it blows my mind 95% of my coworkers are liberals and have no clue what is going on.
They just dont get it. They just hate Bush and Palin and Chenny...
I feel the same way! Many organized prayers and fasting. Constant protest and encouraging neighbors and friends as to what is going on. I just read the Pink Swastika and believe me I can see similar things of what is going on now compared to how Hitler took over.
Further, the military folks know that Obama is hostile toward police officers and other authority figures as evidenced by his "the police acted stupidly" comments.
Anyone who fires a shot at the police, may as well fire a shot at the military since they are both organizations designed to protect society.
The military community is fully aware of the FACT that Obama is a filthy, disgusting little pig.
We live in strange dangerous times my FRiend. Obama’s feelings toward the military and his plans for those in uniform and those who have worn the uniform should cause all to sit in stony silence, as they will suffer dearly because of him.

Are there any photos with Hussein actually pledging allegiance to the flag? Or with his hand over his heart regarding anything patriotic?

Is this what Michele wore to a memorial service? I would think that black would have been more appropriate.

I can’t believe this. I had some hope when she appeared at Ft Hood looking decent..but really, how in the world can people keep a straight face when looking at her.
A visit to the Tomb of the Unknowns is a somber occasion—not a time and place that a dignitary should wear a cheerful color. What a tool Mrs. Zero is!
Actually morale is amazingly high. A huge majority of the troops did not support Zero and knew exactly what we were getting when the elections took place last year.
They will carry on with a sense of pride and purpose because their morale and identity is not derived from this poseur but from love of country.
It would help to have support and respect like they got from President Bush but they are strong and they will see it through. They despise and disrespect Zero and thus disregard him for the most part.
She didn’t even wash and groom her hair today. It’s the same as yesterday only messy.

We The American People are going to drain the political sewer that these Socialists crawled out of. This is a perfect example of the tsunami that is coming. We have friends, who were lifelong Democrats in Ohio, who just changed their Party affiliation because they find Obama loathsome. Millions more are seeing this traitor for who and what he is. May this Veteran’s Day wake up our nation and be a fitting tribute to American patriots past, present, and future. Let this mark the day that We The American People take back our nation and our freedom.
