A senior government official tells ABC News that investigators have found that alleged Fort Hood shooter Nidal Malik Hasan had "more unexplained connections to people being tracked by the FBI" than just radical cleric Anwar al Awlaki. The official declined to name the individuals but Congressional sources said their names and countries of origin were likely to emerge soon.

U.S. officials now confirm Hasan sent as many as 20 e-mails to Awlaki. Authorities intercepted the e-mails but later deemed them innocent or protected by the first amendment...
The Washington Post reported Tuesday that Hasan gave a PowerPoint presentation to fellow Army doctors in 2007 in which he said... "We love death more than you love life."

Aulaqi / Awlaki has ties in Michigan... gave a speech in Minneapolis. Maybe to the same bunch Holder was going to address?
Most of our judges in Texas would have offered to go help in the search themselves..so I doubt getting a warrant here would have been a problem...lol!
ABC News uncovered this? ABC???????? Knock me over with a feather. How long before ABC gets a threatening call from the White House along with promises of ostracization and loss of access?
Hasan does a lot of snapping.
Obviously.
I'm getting the impression that Hasan's post-graduate study consisted mainly in the study of Islam, with the blessings of the Army.
The WaPo reported that his email correspondence with Alwaki and other Islamists was part of the research on his "thesis" -- if true, it's something the public has a major interest in reading.
In addition, his presentations, both as a psychiatric intern and in pursuit of his post-grad degree in Disaster and Preventive Psychiatry at Bethesda, seemed to have consisted solely in the proselytizing of Islam to fellow students.
He was also reprimanded for proselytizing Islam to his patients at Walter Reed.
If both the FBI and the Army were so unconcerned about his activities, we have to wonder how many more Hasans are out there, subsidized by the military and/or government in the study and spread of radical Islam within the ranks?
Asleep at the wheel on purpose.
Meanwhile, the search for the alleged shooter’s motivation continues.
Is this snowballing or is it my imagination?
Same exact spirit as the baby-killers and their enablers.
“This is like deja vu all over again.”
