Does that woman ever stop scowling? I don’t believe that I’ve ever seen a public figure exhibit such ugliness on a regular basis in all my life.
For his part, Obama actually looks appropriately pained in that photo (not that I’m reading anything into that). He’s a cipher. Who knows what he feels?
ROFL!!!!!!
Thank you .... beautiful.
I’m not really familiar with the coins. However, I did receive one on behalf of Col Lewis Millett (Medal of Honor recipient 1951) and another from Adm. Giambastiani (Vice Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff, USN) and another from the (then) commander of the Marine Corps Barracks in D.C.
But none of that was comparable to getting a hug from Silke Hagee at the Commandant’s house. :)
Actually, the hymn "Fairest Lord Jesus" may be just as appropriate.
Although it was "first" written down in a German (Silesian) hymnbook during the 17th century, it is reputed the song was much older and probably sung by 12th century Silesian Crusaders while they were marching in a Crusade to the Holy Land.
I say, sing 'em both...
I thought I heard the President say “Kham Dong” whereas it should have been Kham Xiong (”Zhong”). Get it right or quit.
“SHE does NOT want to be there, especially sitting next to HIM... That is a pair of ANGRY people.”
You know what? I wouldn’t want to be sitting next to them either.
Seriously, there is something very dark about those two people. Something that is really negative and depressing. I hope this country survives whatever “that” might be.
Thank you for posting it.
Looks new to me.
Thank you - yes it was a terrorist attack - and the over use of the word “tragedy” as if there is no explanation for what happened is a very subtle attempt to sidestep the truth.
Of course it is tragic when all these heroes in our military are gunned down on their own “home” base.
“Tragedy” could have been used if coupled with “an apparent terrorist attack”....but, of course, Obozo has been going out of his way to “not jump” to that conclusion and to suggest it was due to Hasan just snapping from pressure.
Followed this thread (lurker mode at work) and appreciated the info and commentary.
Then came home and watched cspan as it ended the coverage of the Memorial service only to see the families and fellow service men and women going around the display of the boots and the photos...and, well, just mourned again the loss of these American military heroes.
(Also had to see Sheila Jackson Lee putting herself down center at the front of the seated crowd - though she was standing up just as the cameras were following those who were mourning....she ALWAYS finds a way to get on camera...)
Now.
We must ask all Senators/Congress people to DEMAND that the Obama administration come out and name this what it is = a terrorist attack - and then they must come out and announce a bottom up review of every possible Muslim Jihadist now in our military and other positions of government security....explaining that all evidence of potential Muslim attacks will lead to immediate dismissal from our armed services and from other security agencies.
The Atlantic: "The Best Speech Obama's Given Since...Maybe Ever"NBC's Chuck Todd Tweet: "That's going to be a speech that's remembered and quoted from for quite some time; struck a balance of commander and consoler..."
WaPo's Chris Cillizza: "Will the speech fundamentally re-shape the political dynamic? Nope. But, it should serve as a reminder of Obama's considerable gifts as an orator and how he has learned to leverage those gifts at critical moments during the 2008 campaign (Rev. Wright) and now as president with this speech."
FOX pundit this morning described Obama's speech as "curiously unemotional and detached."
LA Times: "While the president did not suggest a motive or mention Islam, he left room for the possibility that there may have been an ideological motivation."
Reuters: "Five days after the attack, the president and first lady Michelle Obama flew to Texas..."
I hate Diversity,on top of everything else they beat out Susan Boyle.
...the presstitutes were all over the airwaves before the memorial service ....
.. breathlessly braying how this speech will define him...elevate him...blah blah blah blah
Of course...to react to grief with rudeness is odd though. You are entitled to your rudeness. I am entitled to ignore it. And rise above it. Which is not difficult.
Look at the smirk on Michelle My Bell’s face.
You have a strange definition of rudeness, but go ahead and rise above it, whatever that means. I think you simply don't (or won't) understand sarcasm, but that's your prerogative.
