This morning I awoke to the news that the democrats have succeeded in passing their "health" bill. One lone Republican voted for it, thirty-eight democrats voted against it. In spite of the people's wishes this government has moved us another step into socialistic fascism. Just as Hitler did in his tenure as leader of Germany.
So, I am wondering today...what do we do now? It is obvious that protesting as we have with our Tea Parties have had no affect. Tyrants always have reason for tyranny and they will not be stopped by the American people protesting politely, even when there are hundreds of thousands of us at one place.
As most of us here I am very disheartened, indeed saddened deeply by what I view as what may be another nail in the coffin of freedom and decency. Are these the end times? Are we to suffer terribly for our nation ignoring God? I have so many questions which I do not have the answer to. All I know from my life is to do the right thing, to stand up for liberty and decency. To strive to prevail over what I view as this evil. But, how to do that? Do we continue to do our Tea Parties? Do we work on seperating from this nation and building our own? Would the democrats even allow that? Maybe someone can offer some clarity, some sound thinking on what the hell we do now. I would appreciate it greatly.
Yes, retire for the evening to your bread and circuses.
That should really solve things.
Here is the vote — check out how your Representative voted.
Then work like he - - if he voted yes to see that his as -
is kicked out of the U.S. House in 2010.

“Elections have consequences.”
Yet how many times do we hear there is no difference between the two parties.
Who said anything about a march? I was thinking more along the lines of a House cleaning...
I'm more into machetes and White Feathers...
I’d be happy to give you a lift, but I don’t live in Texas any more. You’d have to run on up with Eaker or one of the other folk...
Ok. I’m back. And I didn’t say I was retiring for the evening. You seem to have a problem with reading comprehension there.
And for the record, I hate bread and I’m allergic to clowns...so.....other than that, there’s no need for your snarky cracks. I thought we were on the same side. Maybe I was wrong.
Oh I doubt that Eaker would have room in his vehicle. He always seems to have a crowd around.
I’ve got a couple of friends that I could probably talk into going tho. It sounds like fun. And I am definitely motivated now...more than ever.
That’s what comes after the march.
I think "motivation" isn't lacking. It's direction and leadership.
I’d question the tactics of an open march like that. But then again, anyone talking about tactics we might actually wanna use on the open Intarwebs is probably not thinking things through all the way to begin with...
I might just do that. I have some money set aside. Might as well invest it in something that won’t lose its’ value, unlike the dollar.
Gotta wait and fire my friends AR first tho. The one time I tried to look through the sight, I couldn’t see. I shoot right handed and was trying to sight with my left eye. Didn’t work. My friend said he had the same problem so he had to shoot left-handed. Does that make any sense?
Karl Denninger:
Do we live in a Constitutional Republic any longer?
The 16th Amendment made lawful the income tax - that is, a direct tax on Americans.
But nowhere in The Constitution is the power found to force people, under penalty of law (including fines and imprisonment), to pay private parties for services they do not desire to purchase.
Yet that is in the bill passed last night.
Yes, we have Congressfolk - both men and women, and all Democrats (save one Republican) who voted for this.
This sure appears to be blatantly unconstitutional - and, I would argue, those who voted for the bill know it.
If you watched CSPAN yesterday you heard the speeches. All those who rose in favor of the bill talked not about The Constitution and how this bill was a solution to the problems facing America’s Health Care System - a system that consumes some 17% of our GDP - but rather it appealed to how individuals with specific circumstances would be helped.
But a desire to help someone is not the test for legislation. All legislation by definition is designed to help someone. The test is whether whatever is being proposed comports with the black-letter requirements of The Constitution, and the even-blacker-letter requirements of the laws of mathematics.
This bill meets neither essential test of all legislation; it instead proposes to destroy our Constitutional system of government.
Yet despite member after member rising last evening in opposition and stating that these mandates were unconstitutional not one rebuttal of that point was made by those in support.
The “Holy Grail” for the so-called “private” insurance businesses is forcing everyone onto one of their plans. This is due to the problem of “adverse selection” - that is, you would not buy insurance until you got sick if it is quite (or very) expensive. The more expensive the insurance gets the worse this problem becomes and the “insurance” ceases to be insurance at all. Remember, “insurance” is a thing you buy to protect against an unlikely outcome - if you’re already ill or believe you will become ill the outcome isn’t unlikely - it is either probable or known.
Yet the desires and demands of private business do not give license to use The Constitution as toilet paper.
Oh it is definitely a problem of lack of leadership. There are leaders out there though. We just need to find a way to ‘get acquainted’. I have faith that it will fall into place though.
You know, this might be the perfect time for me to volunteer at one of the nursing homes, eh? Everyone in my family already knows and is aware of what’s going on. But I bet there’s a ton of seniors that have not heard a word of truth about the bill.
While we still have a majority of RED states to do so...
Refreshments are coming, Tree!
Try both eyes open. Takes some getting used to, but it works.
And it was the beginning of Clinton's road to Impeachment. We were there to tell Sen. Graham...we wanted him to tell the disgraced POTUS to resign.
Clinton didn't resign but Impeachment is forever and history books will always list him as the second president to be impeached.....and of course they will also mention Monica Lewinsky.
“dont you think God would be on our side, the Christians who oppose abortion, homosexual marriage, pedaphilia, Hollyweird filth, and anti-Christian communist rule?”
Of course. The Bible is pretty clear on these subjects.
