FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) ― Former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura, visited wounded soldiers and their families near the site of the worst mass shooting on an Army post in the United States.
The Bushes made their private visit to Fort Hood's Darnall Army Medical Center on Friday night. Bush spokesman David Sherzer said in an e-mail that the couple thanked Fort Hood's military leaders and hospital staff for the "amazing care they are providing."

Obama Reminds Nation of Military’s Diversity
WASHINGTON — President Obama, extending condolences to the community at Fort Hood, Texas, reminded Americans on Saturday that people of “every race, faith and station” serve in the military — an oblique attempt to prevent a backlash against Muslims in the wake of Thursday’s shootings by an Army psychiatrist.
President Bush and Mrs. Bush doing the right thing. How refreshing. God bless them.

[Gibbs also tap danced his way through a question regarding when Obama would go to Fort Hood. Apparently there are no travel plans for the President as of yet. Gibbs gave some lame excuse. Although Gibbs did mention that Obama intends to go to the Hill tomorrow regarding health care. I guess that takes precedence?
Obama is the CIC, wouldn’t he want to travel to Fort Hood to give comfort and support to our armed service personnel and their families??]

I bet we would see stills of it, though. If you pay attention to the wire photos, it's obvious that a lot of the photographers don't like him.
Thank you for posting this. Thank God for President Bush and Mrs. Bush. I truely miss this great and humble man.
It's one of the better pictures I have of GWB. Just looking at it makes me recall his unswerving defense of America, and puts an incredibly stark contrast against the Obozo administration.
They are losers and traitors. They're everything we always thought they were. And they must go. America will not survive their destructive agenda.
