A Massachusetts man has been fired from his sales A Massachusetts man has been fired from his sales position at the Logan Airport branch in Boston of Brookstone allegedly for telling a female manager that his Christian faith says homosexuality is wrong.
Peter Vadala was fired, and the company says he violated a tolerance policy. But Vadala reports his dismissal came because he expressed his Christian view of homosexuality after a female manager made repeated references, as she approached him four times during work hours, to her plans to marry her lesbian partner.
"At the start of the day, she told me she was getting married. I told her 'Congratulations,' and asked, 'Where's he taking you on your honeymoon?'" Vadala said.
"She replied that her partner was a 'she,'" he continued, "So I immediately tried to change the subject.
"I think she knew I was uncomfortable talking about it," he continued. "But, she brought it up to me three more times during the day.

"After the fourth time she told me about her plan to marry her partner, I told her, 'I think homosexuality is bad stuff,'" Vadala said.
"That's what I said. I wasn't rude about it and I didn't act disrespectfully to her," he said. "All the woman said to me as she left the store was, 'Human Resources buddy. You keep your opinions to yourself!'"

Thought crimes are very big these days.
Calling the ACLU. Come in, ACLU.
Obvious entrapment.
Four times bringing up the subject?
He should sue the company for allowing a hostile work environment.
It doesn;t pay to believe in anything these days if this stands.
Honesty and the right to express your personal beliefs.(now under new management)
I guess keeping your opinions to youself doesn’t work both
ways? Sounds like she set him up!
Sounds like entrapment by management. She should be fired as well. I’d like to see him sue on this one but in Mass. the juries are pretty wacked.
Apparently in the United States of America a person is not entitled to an opinion, or a Christian belief. So much for “tolerance.”
any picketers available to let that office feeel the freedom...
This guy needs to become the poster child for the anti-gay-indoctrination movement. In any state where there is a homosexual “marriage” referendum, this guy should be flown in like Joe the Plumber to show how the queer Nazis operate.
As always...tolerance as long as you believe what THEY believe.
I think the female manager needs to be promptly fired. She created a hostile work environment. As management she should know better, and placed her employer’s business at risk. She should have managed her team and left her personal matters at home.
I manage people for a living. I would love to promote my religious and political views - but that’s not what my employer expects me to do. They expect me to lead my teams to exceed objectives.
Oh no, we are entitled to an opinion, just not a Christian one.
Do we need any more proof that the Left are the grown (but not mature) targets of derision on the school playground and they STILL want to run and tell teechur?
Perhaps Brookstone is entitled to hear our opinions on this subject.
Seems to me she was the one harrassing him. She should have kept her private life private and no one would have known what she was about to do. It's amazing to me how liberals can be intolerant of somone else's views.
Tolerance policy? Sounds pretty intolerant to traditional Christian believers myself.
