I was channel switching between Fox, PMSNBC (who had the absolute worst coverage), and CNN. I was surprised none of the Democrat commentators made mention of the fact that Sarah Palin went to bat for Hoffman and sent him money from her PAC, but he still lost.

I think we sure have work left to do here, folks, if we had Rush, Sean, Glenn, Sarah, Mark Levin, the Thompsons, ALL pushing Hoffman in the last few weeks but he still lost.

I don’t know: maybe people didn’t want to vote for someone who looked like Barney Fife. I guess voters CAN be that shallow: look how many women voters voted for Barry O because of his looks.

I was skeptical when some our side got all giddy when Scozzafava dropped out. And even prior to that when the momentum shifted to Hoffman. Deep down I had this feeling that Scozzafava would play the spoiler with Owens winning in the end. I don't think it was a mistake for conservatives to get behind Hoffman. It was a mistake for the GOP party bosses to support someone like Scozzafava in the first place.

We got 2 of the 3 we wanted and Hoffman shook up the GOP. He is a hero.

Hoffman fought the good fight. The rinos will likely blame Palin, Rush and the rest of the evil conservatives.

But the base will be more enraged at how the rino screwed us in the race. How the establishment rinos are doing us by going rat lite.

It sucks, but oh well. We’ll get them back next year. We will continue to watch these rinos.

Why? Still more than 10,000 absentee ballots out there, as well as several precincts not counted.

Oh, I know, following FRed’s example in SC. (know that I love FRed, but he just didn’t fight like he should have, and gave up too soon.)

According to the vote count so far, Scuzzy still won 5,000+ votes (absentee ballots?) which is approx. the amount Hoffman trails by.

Well we won Virgina. Got a RINO in New Jersey and a Democrat in New York. I would say it is even. New Jersey Governor is against 2nd Amendment anyway (or at least no for it completely or some nonsense). I don’t know how Sarah will fare after this. I sorta wish she just stayed out of it.

The Conservative label did well tonight in the face of the two big party political machines and what they did to undermine it.

God Bless all who helped Doug Hoffman get as many votes as he did in the face of dirty politics as usual.

Give youselves a hand and pat yourselves on the back.

Get some rest and be ready for the next battle.

I’m not disappointed. There are some huge disadvantages when you don’t run under a major party banner and Hoffman still almost won.

Next time, (a year from now) he’ll run under the GOP after winning in the primaries, he’ll take the district and we can count Hoffman as a seat pickup in 2010. You can book it. Owens will be a one-year wonder.

I hope the Dem. enjoys his year (and only 1 year) in office. The dropped out Republican votes added to Hoffmans were more than the Dems. votes. In 2010 their will be a Rep. Primary and only one person challenging the Dem. in the General.

I think the prevailing sentiment is correct. Gingrich and Scozzafava cost Hoffman this election. The GOP actually ate their own in this one. If Scozzafava had done right by the party she would have endorsed Hoffman. It just goes to show you can’t trust immoral people, or people who uphold immoral ideals.

The thing that disgusts me is the Republican throwing her support to the Democrat in the race over the conservative. Folks, this is the way the RNC thinks, you guys think you’re welcome in the party, and that Sarah will be, you’re so wrong. They would rather see a democrat win because they in the end want the same ends. It’s so obvious yet you guys keep falling for it, Globe Trotters vs Generals, check out a game sometime ...

Scozzafava, obviously a vindictive bit6h, endorsed the rat and lost us this seat.

I despise Rinos! I'm beginning to think they actually work for the DNC.
