Talk radio bomb thrower Rush Limbaugh ripped President Obama Sunday for his ego, health care reform effort - and a "photo-op" with the casket of a U.S. soldier killed in Afghanistan.
"It was a photo-op precisely because he's having big-time trouble on this whole Afghanistan dithering situation," Limbaugh told "Fox News Sunday."
"He can create the impression that he has all this great concern," Limbaugh charged.
Obama said his overnight trip to view the returning flag-draped caskets of 18 Americans killed in Afghanistan at Dover Air Force Base Thursday will "bear on how I see" the war. He is expected to unveil a new strategy that could send up to 40,000 more troops into the warzone.
Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), who has clashed with Obama on domestic and homeland security issues, rushed to defend the President's action.
"I think he was there as commander-in-chief for all Americans. And I don't fault him or question his motives at all," Lieberman said on CBS' "Face the Nation." "I was proud that my President was there."
In his multi-pronged attack, Limbaugh also said the health care reform effort is a government power grab driven by a "very narcissistic" President who has "an out-of-this-world ego."

Photo-op for sure. He can’t put his hand over his heart for the National Anthem but he can go to Dover AFB in the middle of the night to capitalize on another’s sorrow. Photo-op.
Basing his decisions on emotions not needs of the soldiers fighting overseas - so typically liberal reaction....disgusting opportunist.
I am not an Obama lover...but I think he has a heart...i do think he was sincere. He does not have the same values as we do, but he does seem to recognize the honor a valor of a soldier. These soldiers deserve nothing less, and I for one am glad he showed respect!
Of course it was a photo op. If it was out of personal concern he could have gone without the press.
Notice the salute...he was taught that...that does mean he cared enough to learn a proper salute and rendered it in this case. You should have seen how he started...awful lame salute...this is a good salute...a soldiers salute..someone taught him well!
There, fixed it.
If he had a heart or recognized the valor of a soldier he would not be conducting foreign policy in such a way as to get more US soldiers killed.
That's the kicker. Anyone who misses that point....he did this in the middle of the night and took the press.....isn't seeing it for what it really was.
Freep the poll on the page.
He TOOK along with him I believe 24 members of the press. 17 out of 18 families told Zero to ‘take a hike’ when asked for a photo-op.

IMO his intention is clear....the destruction of the US military through utter demoralization that will severely limit re-ups and enlistments.
Only one family permitted the Big Nothing the ability to use their loss in his big photoop. Kiss my @ss Obama!
That man disgusts me, he's a traitor and dangerous to this country and needs to be removed from office.
My gut tells me Rush should have stayed away from this...
I don’t know why.
You either appear at Dover for every soldier under your command that passes thru there or you abstain completely. You don't pick and choose........
It was a disgusting photo-op.......
Democrats have never seen a casket that they didn’t want to use as a soapbox.
They see dead bodies as political opportunities. Period!
Sorry Tex...but Obama was ‘taught well’ so that he would look good. This, like every FReaking thing this group does is about image, perception, smoke and mirrors. Like they say in TX...’all hat, no cattle.’
Please - what else could it have been!!? You don’t bring along your own news photographers otherwise.
