I am not an Obama lover...but I think he has a heart...i do think he was sincere. He does not have the same values as we do, but he does seem to recognize the honor a valor of a soldier. These soldiers deserve nothing less, and I for one am glad he showed respect!
Notice the salute...he was taught that...that does mean he cared enough to learn a proper salute and rendered it in this case. You should have seen how he started...awful lame salute...this is a good salute...a soldiers salute..someone taught him well!
You either appear at Dover for every soldier under your command that passes thru there or you abstain completely. You don't pick and choose........

He went there and said there would be no pictures unless one of the families agred to them. He talked only one family into it. You dont think it was a photo-op?
Then why hasn't he sent reinforcements to Afghanistan/Pakistan to help them?
This was a photo op, pure and simple. He simply cannot stay out of the way of a camera or teleprompter. When will he actually sit down and make decisions regarding the war over there?
The answer? When it's politically beneficial to him.

If he were serious, he would have done it in private with no photos. This was nothing but a photo op to undo things like.....
.....Refusing to put his hand over his heart for the National Anthem.
.....Refusing to wear a flag pin.
.....Apologizing to the world for how "bad" the USA is.
.....Bowing to King Saud.
.....Saying the USA is not a Christian nation.
.....Saying the USA is the largest muslim nation.
I cold go on. The point is, he knows he is in big trouble with most ordinary Americans. A photo of him doing this would have been good for him....except....the story of how and when it happened got out. Now he looks like a disingenuous creep.
Why, out of 18 families whose soldier came home that night, did only ONE agree to let him be there?

I can tell you why - I have family members and many friends in the military - including Afghanistan.
Our TROOPS have first hand and tragic knowledge of his total disdain and disrespect for their lives and for their mission.
He isn't worthy of the title CIC. His new ROE and dithering, has month after month, caused higher KIA’s each succeeding month than the first year of the war.
He has the blood of our soldiers on his hands - maybe you are not familiar with the new ROE he put in play this year? Maybe you think our troops can continue fighting without the heavy losses when they are undermanned and underarmed. "Respect" is more than a photo op salute that only required a a few minutes travel. You think he has a heart. You think he was sincere, You think he recognizes the honor and valor of a soldier.
