Republican Dede Scozzafava endorsed her former Democratic opponent Sunday in the race for an upstate New York congressional seat, one day after Scozzafava dropped out of the contest.
Scozzafava dropped out after Conservative Party candidate Dough Hoffman experienced a late-in-the-game surge. But on Sunday, Scozzafava backed Democrat Bill Owens -- the announcement was made in a statement send out by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
"I am supporting Bill Owens for Congress and urge you to do the same," she said. "In Bill Owens, I see a sense of duty and integrity that will guide him beyond political partisanship. He will be an independent voice devoted to doing what is right for New York. Bill understands this district and its people, and when he represents us in Congress he will put our interests first."

What herd, Newt ? You need to try to be coherent. Your rage has blinded you to reason.

I hope some good comes from this. Hoffman winning this thing is crucial. There are people at the NRCC and RNC that should be fired. What a disgrace the party of Reagan has become, something that's not exactly a surprise to most of us here or to Sarah Palin.
One thing the Rats have over the Republican Party is unity.

Absolutely, Conservatism before GOP, unlike you, Newt.
Oklahoma Rep. Mary Fallin, competing for the GOP nod in her run for governor, wrote Doug Hoffman this week that his campaign, has reminded Americans everywhere that principles come before party affiliation.
Mary Fallin is a smart lady. You, not so much.

She has done one thing well... EXPOSED the REPUBLICANS!!!! All those behind her should be ashamed of themselves! No matter who wins this one, ( God help Hoffman to win!)... this 23rd district election will show one of two things..
1. NEVER trust a RINO!!!
2.The Republican party will soon be dead if we have another RINO up to bat!!!

Enjoy the sound of “Madame Butterfly” playing loudly in Mo’s basement cell. We all should be quiet, since Mo is about to reenact the final scene. ;-D

Newt, Pataki and Giuliani are joining your aimless herd. "Aimless" is a word that fits DeDe.
Less than a week ago, she was campaigning as the Republican candidate.
Today, she crossed party lines and endorsed the liberal Democrat. She's never any loyalty towards conservatives or conservatism.

What was it she said the other day? Something like "I've been a Republican all my life and I'll remain a Republican forever"? I guess that's true because she can still maintain her RINO status and stick it to CONSERVATIVE Republicans.
What a lying liberal sack of doo-doo she is. I hope the people of her district know how to pull the lever for Hoffman even though (I assume) her name will still be on the ballot.

That didn't take long. Yesterday she was saying she was a Republican and would remain one. Today she endorses the democrat candidate because he will vote as she intended to do. Proving that those voters who support Hoffman were right all along that he is the right person to represent his conservative district. Scozzafava has become the latest example of the uselessness and wastefullness of the Republican leadership supporting candidates who are clearly so ambivalent about what the capitalist Republican party stands for that they have no compunction about hopping over to the socialist RAT agenda at any given opportunity. Seems the average Republican voter is far more capable of sizeing up candidates than our leadership is.

In 24 hours shes proved herself to be a quitter, a deceiver and a turncoat. How can anyone defend, much less support, that? Those are actually highly rated qualifications for membership in the Democrat party. If Scuzzy announces that she's changing her party affiliation to Democrat, they'll welcome her with open arms.
