Friend --
Remember all those socialist-hollering, Glenn Beck-worshiping, tea party wing nuts from this summer's town hall meetings? If Sarah Palin gets her way, one of them could soon be a member of Congress.
Next week marks one year since President Obama was elected. The amount of money we have in the bank will be used as an instant referendum on his first year.
With Sarah Palin out there raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to stack Congress with those tea party lunatics, the media is watching to see how Grassroots Democrats respond.
Help us raise $500,000 in response to Sarah Palin's fundraising for the tea party nut jobs. For every dollar you give before Midnight Tuesday, a group of Democrats will match it with $2 of their own, tripling your impact.
Tuesday night's deadline is a critical test of our muscle.
I've been getting calls all week from media pundits asking me if Palin's fundraising means that all those tea partying members of the right-wing fringe finally have the upper hand in their fight to bring back the George Bush days of disaster.
I need you to help us respond in the strongest possible terms.

Send a message to Sarah Palin and those tea party nutcases who think they can retake Congress. But we only have until Midnight Tuesday to act.
Thanks,
James Carville
P.S. Next week marks one year since President Obama was elected. The amount of money we have in the bank will be used as an instant referendum on his first year.
I count 5 times he refers to good Americans as “lunatics” and “nutjobs”.
This is the party of hope and change my hind end.
That kind of rhetoric and down right disgusting talk is a sign they are terrified.
The last time Carville had to deal with something like this it was Perot in 92'. It worked to his favor taking votes from X41. Many were probably of the Tea Party Spirit. This time we are on our own, for the Constitution and not for Perot. We are in his "OODA loop" he can't come up with a counterstrike now that the opposition is against him (and the GOP) on principle not personality, vs. the 2nd-dary opposition that Perot was filling the Slickmysters sails.
And we ain't going away, and Carville is getting old IMHO to be this kind of warrior of words and thought. He comes across as not passionate anymore, but borderline loony. My guess he is running scared, this is bigger than 94' and he didn't see that coming.... This time he can see it, and it probably scares the $hit out of him....
LOL! Damn! That is disgusting!
Damn that’s fugly!
Soros is too busy running things from the Oval Office.
typical left wing
the usual name calling a bunch of times, they have no idea that even Dems I know and some obama voters are pissed off with obama
just keep the name calling and we’ll take then high road and even ask “excuse me but why d you feel you have to name call someone and this is the typical DC approach to an election and I am here to stop all that, people have had enough of the partisan politics”
Sarah says that and the Dems will look very stupid and lose even more neutrals
just said that folks have had enough of the devise politics and all Sarah has to do is use this message to illustrate that the DC politics will be gone under her and why they feel they have to do this is beyond me.
go on Sarah put them out in public and make them squirm

Well gee thats weird the last time I saw Carville on CNN he was talking about how dumb and stupid Sarah Palin was and now he wants money to counter her. mmmmmmmmm.
Gee whiz....that man CarVILE is UGLY!!! Thanks for the picture. Evil. Evil. Evil in his eyes.
Smiling here. What a lovely thought. I never thought Carville could give me reason to feel all warm and fuzzy inside, but he did. :)
Excerpt from an email from Joe Biden on the Organizing for America website. Note how the cult of personality is used: Barack, Barack, Barack. Did Vice President Cheney ever refer to ‘George’ from 2001 to 2009? I don’t believe so:
“When I talk about you changing the rules in Washington, here’s what I mean: This week, crucial negotiations on Capitol Hill are shaping a comprehensive reform proposal. At the same time, the insurance companies’ phony reports are grabbing headlines and their lobbyists are twisting arms. But your work is keeping them from setting us back.
“On Tuesday, OFA supporters around the country organized more than 1,000 local outreach events and generated an astounding 330,000 calls to Congress from constituents telling their representatives that “it’s time to deliver.” From my years in Congress and my conversations with Senate colleagues this week, I can tell you with confidence that your message broke through and you helped keep us on track.
“If this fight were only about guaranteeing the choice of secure, quality, affordable care for every American, it would be worth everything we could throw at it. But as Barack reminded us this week, this fight for change is now about something even bigger: a test of whether or not “we as a nation are capable of tackling our toughest challenges, if we can serve the national interest despite the unrelenting efforts of the special interests; if we can still do big things in America.”
“I believe we can. And Barack believes we can. But what really matters is whether you believe we can. If you do, now is the moment to make it happen. Please contribute today:”
Awesome....and you even made him squirm!
OOOOOooooooh, my precious.
A real life Gollum. eeeeeyuk. 2010 will be the equivalent of Mt.Doom for these trolls, Orcs, etc.
Does he mean the people that want the constitution followed?
I think he is married to one. Glad to see them scared of Sarah Palin, that means she has a lot of political clout.
They’re so afraid of Sarah Palin, they’re all wee-wee’d up.
A Partial PPP Poll Posted by Sean Trende | Email This | Permalink | Email Author The news that Republican Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava is dropping out of the race in New York 23 threatens to completely upset the applecart in upstate New York. PPP was in the midst of polling when the announcement came. About 29 minutes ago they tweeted that "[w]ith about 200 interviews down we had Hoffman 45 Owens 26 Scozzafava 17...her withdrawal will just make it that much easier for Hoffman."
I'm not 100% certain this is correct -- though I am 60% certain. There's a chance that Scozzafava's remaining supporters were independents or liberal Republicans who didn't necessarily want a Democrat in Congress or who couldn't bring themselves to support someone as conservative as Hoffman. They may break heavily for Owens. Hopefully we'll get another poll or two before the voting starts on Tuesday.
