There's no doubt that the MSM/National Enquirer type fascination with Sarah Palin will continue as long as she's perceived as a political threat and while Levi Johnston continues along the path of the Minor Celebrity Bell Curve in the footsteps of such notables of Joey Buttafuoco and John Wayne Bobbitt.

Yesterday we published Sarah Palin Fires Back at Levi Johnston: Johnston Useful Tool for Sarah Foes, where we noted that, even though it had been almost a year since Palin "lost" to Obama, the obsession with Sarah Palin continues:

It’s been almost a year since Sarah Palin lost the election to Barack Obama. Even so, the press and media continues its fascination with the ex-Governor of Alaska by putting on the “stand”, “star witness” for the Palin “prosecution”, 19-yr-old Levi Johnston.

Of course, Palin didn’t actually run against Obama, but you’d think, judging by the attention garnered in the media and the continual Presidential pop quizzes given Palin that were never given to Obama, that it was Palin, and not, you know, what’s his name, McCain, who was on the top ticket.

In this installment we took a look at various statements made by useful tool, or fool--depending on how you view 19-yr-old Johnston, and his latest antics.

I think the Palin’s have been very restrained in their response—and that’s as it should be. As Mr. T said, “I pity the fool”. And I do.

He’s clearly being an irresponsible jerk, but I feel sad for him in that he clearly did not get good direction in life from home. It take a lot of hard work to overcome that.

..on a lighter note, I was more interested in two items here: 1-where the “white trash” comment originated; and, 2-what the heck were Joey Buttafuoco and John Wayne Bobbitt doing these days?

I can remember when those 2 had their 15 minutes of fame and it seemed like what they had to say was important—they were everywhere in the media for a minute.

Reminds me of that scene in Uncle Buck (John Canady) where Uncle Buck is looking for his niece who's out at a party with a scumbag (resembling Levi J.) ... when the punk tells the person knocking on the door to a bedroom to get lost (of course, not knowing it's Uncle Buck), Uncle Buck unscrews the door lock, pushes the door open, and is standing there holding up his power-drill like a weapon. Much to Uncle Buck's surprise, the punk is messing with another girl; not his niece. Needless to say, the punk gets his comeuppance. Good movie.

I see Levi J. as that kind of punk and have no doubt, he'll get his comeuppance as well.

Whether or not Sarah Palin called the Johnson family “white trash,” I can’t think of a better description. Wasn’t Levi’s mother arrested for drugs? Didn’t Levi father a child with a minor? All that’s missing for a perfect country music song is the “tears in my beers” line.

"Levi Johnston is getting ready to let it all hang out. The father of Sarah Palin's grandson will go ahead with his much-hyped Playgirl shoot in mid-November "in order to get the pictures out for the holidays," a rep for the magazine told us. "We're working out the actual details day-by-day, and have come to a very happy conclusion, which we feel readers will be enthralled by." Johnston's manager, Tank Jones, has said he's "90 percent sure" the shoot, for which Johnson has pulled in a reported six figures, will include full-frontal nudity."
