Lightweight running sneakers can be particularly buoyant, protecting the remains from critters while also helping the shoe to pop up and float along the water’s surface.
I've been running for over 25 years and that's always been a consideration when I buy a new pair of shoes.

You’d think if someone was missing a foot they’d have reported it.

"Disarticulated feet do occasionally wash ashore — "

There are billions, perhaps trillions of possible word combinations in the English language. I imagine almost all of them have been used in one place or another at some previous point in history. I am positive that this particular phrase is unique, possibly to never be reprinted again.

Col Mustard in the Parlor with the candelabra? Thats my guess and I’m sticking with it. I know for sure if I was going to go for a walk in BC, I would make it a point to wear loafers.

All toe boat employees in the vicinity ought be questioned.

“At first glance it doesn’t match any of the other feet.” That’s Sherlock talking.
