Sherwangei, Pakistan (CNN) -- A passport bearing the name of Said Bahaji, a suspect linked to the September 11 attacks on New York and Washington, has been found in a town captured by the Pakistani military.

The passport was found in South Waziristan, where the Pakistani military has been battling to wrest territory from the Taliban in Pakistan. It contained a Pakistani visa issued in August 2001 showing that the bearer entered Pakistan on September 4, 2001, and appeared unusually new for a document eight years old.

CNN has not independently confirmed its authenticity.

The photo in the passport resembles images posted on Interpol's Web site.

Bahaji is alleged to have been a member of the Hamburg, Germany-based cell that provided money to the September 11 hijackers, who carried out the attacks that killed about 3,000 people.

CNN has not independently confirmed its authenticity.

CNN has also not independently confirmed the authenticity of Barack Hussein Obama's birth certificate but some documents are more equal than others, apparently.

What kind of truther shenanigans are they claiming here?

He doesn’t need the passport now that he’s been named the Obama Administration’s new Muslim Acceptance Czar....

They show a US passport, but from the text it is unclear if they are talking about a Spanish passport, a German passport, a US passport, or one from some other country. (Often times images of varying degrees of relevance are added by editors for visual appeal.)

Didn't stop them from running with it, though..

Hillary is in Pakistan as this fake 911 passport is "found." It's a typical Clinton ploy - crude, stupid, connect-the-dots. She wants to be associated with a 911 breakthrough, so she makes one up, and CNN regurgitates it.

"...the Obama Administration’s new Muslim Acceptance Czar...."

A position left unfilled until now, only because Obama couldn't produce an offer sufficient to lure Osama Bin Laden and Ayman al Zawahiri away from their current employers.

That’s what it sounds like. I just read another article that said that they left in a hurry as the army advanced. Rifles, ammunition, etc.

I think the importance is that they are getting close to Al Quaeda as they advance. My hope is that US gave them the bearings toward Bin Laden. (I know, good fantasy, huh?)

I doubt the timing is a coincidence. Especially when one of the Cintons are involved!

Hermetically sealed in a protective sleeve.

Sounds fishy. Sounds like it had been planted to be conveniently found.

Well, mine looks brand new and it’s 6 years old.

Of course it just sits in a drawer since I last used it in 2005
