Meg Whitman is either
*extremely stupid
*bribed or blackmailed
*delusional, and/or
*traitor
*hates the USA

Her stupid comments reveal she not fit to hold a public office. Of course the illegals can be deported in direct and indirect ways. Eisenhower did it. Iran deported large numbers without much difficulty.

They should be deported. They are invading this country, many refusing to learn English. Wait until the Chinese start dumping their surplus population here.

“I was very sorry that people here opposed the Bush plan so much, because it would have been possible to work with his plan and we could have demanded things from it. The plan favored and in fact mandated the learning of English and US civics, background checks to make sure we weren’t getting druggies or criminals, verifiable ID for immigrants, etc.”

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! If you believe that I’ve got a bridge to sell you in NY. Bush is a globalist who believed in amnesty. Along with amnesty allows their “relatives” to come here. Can we say another 75-100 million more third worlders.

The way I remember 187, was it was started by an assemblyman, Mountjoy. It passed with a huge margin (something like 59% to 40% IIRC) Lawsuits caused a restraining order against it, and Wilson appealed. In the meantime, the deck was being stacked by bundling or consolidating a whole bunch of those lawsuits, which were brough only to serve this very purpose, and it was declared unconstitutional. Davis was elected and pulled a fast one by pretending to agree to negotiate it with outside mediators, but then dropped the appeal. End of story.

Is that how you remember it?

In trade value, I wonder how much of our debt China and Japan would swap for California?

“We need to have a bigger quota for Latin Americans”

They already have the largest quota.

We don’t need a bigger one and no one has a RIGHT to come.

Nobody has any “right,” but the numbers are allotted legislatively. Hope you enjoy the Muslims that Barry’s going to bring in.

If anything it tells a person the Republican who has the best chance to win over the Democrat should be spported.

The Gov. appoints Judges and the choice is Judges who will overturn the basic fundamental laws or the ones who support them.

Having ret. from the legal field, legal support with the County Attys, the 9th Circus is a disaster.

Proposition 187 was introduced by Republican assemblyman Dick Mountjoy of Monrovia as the “Save Our State” initiative. In the general election of November 8, 1994, California voters approved the proposition by a 58.93% margin.

It was signed into law by Governor Pete Wilson, a prominent supporter of the proposition, the following day. A number of legal challenges led to the law being eventually overturned in federal court.

The constitutionality of Proposition 187 was challenged by several lawsuits. On November 11, 1994, federal judge Matthew Byrne issued a temporary restraining order against instituting most of it.

Multiple cases were consolidated and brought before Judge Mariana Pfaelzer, who in November 1997 found the law to be unconstitutional. Governor Wilson appealed the ruling, which brought the case to the federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

In 1999, newly elected Democratic Governor Gray Davis had the case brought before mediation, and then dropped the appeals process before the courts, effectively killing the law

Today with the makeup of the State, 187 wouldn’t get to first base.

Again, Latin Americans are the largest group ALREADY.

How about Europe? 3rd world is 3rd world. We’re far more likely to end up a crime ridden Mexico than a Yemen.

Oh, I’ll still trash CA.

It deserves scorn and derision just as much as Massholechussetts does.

Furthermore, I believe that the only political purpose that Conservatives serve in CA is to increase the number of electoral votes the Democrat wins in every presidential election. They would be much more politically effective by moving to a swing state, where more Conservatives WILL make a difference.

Unfortunately, most Conservatives that remain in CA are either too stubborn to leave or have become the proverbial “boiled frog.”

I find it very sad that CA has millions and millions of Conservatives, most of whom count for nothing in the big picture because they are so badly outnumbered.

Republican gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman spoke out on immigration policy issues yesterday, saying it is “simply not practical” to deport the estimated 12.5 million illegal immigrants living and working in the United States.

I'm so sick of this false choice that republicans give us. Either you allow amnesty or you have to round up and deport 12.5 million people. Enforce the law, punish those that hire illegals to the point of bankruptcy, end the absurd practice of sannctuary cities and most illegals will self-deport.

This is why despite what the MSM tells us, Republicans aren't very popular among tea-party supporters. Both parties are just 2 sides of the same rotten coin.

she’s a slaver ~ prepared to create a formal and legally unassailable second-class of citizenship so that her friends can continue to bring in more and more foreigners to pay them less and less.

Why do people have such a hard time grasping this concept. The thing is cheap/slave labor is what makes a third world country. Why innovate if labor is so cheap. It's no coincidence that industrialization happend in the pre-civil war north while the south remained mostly agricultural.

She's an idiot. You don't have to deport most them.

Provide support for employers so that they can identify illegal aliens, and then go after employers who still hire them.
Cut ALL Federal funding to “sanctuary” cities to to put further pressure on illegal aliens.
With no jobs and no place to hide, many (most?) illegal aliens will self-deport.

Finally, the Federales need to provide support to local law enforcement so that illegals who are arrested for breaking the law are swiftly and surely deported. This will help get rid of the worst elements among illegal aliens.

However, there are some really good people among illegal aliens. They are smart, determined, and entrepreneurial. When such individuals are identified, there should be some way for them to stay.

it is “simply not practical” to deport the estimated 12.5 million illegal immigrants living and working in the United States.

How about just telling them to leave and stop giving them jobs, health care, education and other privileges? Would that be practical enough? Scratch this RINO.
