Two words: Jury Nullification. You can’t convict someone of ANYTHING if the jury says f-you to the charges. People should take out ads in the area to thoroughly poison the jury pool with that sentiment.

If someone molested my child, I'd beat them alright, but not to the point of death. I'd want them to live and be conscious enough so that they could feel the pain of their injuries.
