It might have applications for orbital reentry although
the crew quarters would have to be located at the center
of spin and counter rotated somehow, to avoid the centrifugal effects. Is it that or centrifical?
I’m not sure. The inital heating problems on reentry
might be alleviated by the slow spiral .
