Here is a list of government and civilian websites that require a long form birth certificate.
1.) Snyder County, PA requires a long form birth certificate to obtain a US passport for anyone 15 years of age or younger:
"Even with a previous passport - a LONG form birth certificate is required..."
http://www.snydercounty.org/snyder/cwp/view.asp?a=730&Q=408544
2.) In the state of Massachusetts, a long form birth certificate is required to obtain a passport:
"A long form birth certificate is required for obtaining a passport and for travel outside the country."
http://www.dighton-ma.gov/Public_Documents/DightonMA_Clerk/clerk?textPage=1
3.) Once again, the state of Massachusetts requires a long for birth certificate for "proof of citizenship":
"If you were born in the United States, then a LONG FORM birth certificate is required the long form must be certified with a raised seal (no photocopies)."
http://www.cityofmelrose.org/departments/assessing.htm
4.) In the state of Massachusetts, a long long for birth certificate is required in certain adoption cases:
"However, if grandchild is a dependent of a dependent under age 19, copy of grandchilds certified (Long Form) birth certificate is required."
http://www.townofmarshfield.org/public_documents/MarshfieldMA_HR/PCHG%20Rules.pdf
5.) In Laredo, Texas a long for birth certificate is required for passport or immigration purposes:
"The long form Birth Certificate is required for PASSPORT or IMMIGRATION purposes."
http://www.laredotexas.gov/health/Birth%20-%20Death%20Application%20Final%20English%20%20Spanish%20Revised%20January%202009.pdf
6.) Presenting a short form birth certificate to obtain health insurance at IMS Health is "not acceptable":
"Photocopy of dependent's birth certificate. Must be a complete birth certificate which includes both parents' names; short form birth certificate is not acceptable."
http://staging.dakotagrp.com/3756_IMS_enrollment_guide_web/enroll/
7.) The only type of birth certificate that is acceptable by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control is a long form birth certificate.
"The only type of birth certificate acceptable for travel is a birth certificate long form."
"A short form certification or birth card (cannot be used for travel)."
http://www.scdhec.gov/administration/vr/birth.htm
8.) And last of all, to play little league in San Dimas, California, you must present a (yep, you guessed it) long form birth certificate. An abstract, like Obama's COLB, is "not acceptable".
"Supply a certified birth record and proof of residence. Abstract birth certificate is Not acceptable."

So, if a short form birth certificate is not sufficient evidence of citizenship in any of these cases, then why would it be sufficient to be President of the United States?
Yes, there could be something HUGELY wrong with his birthdate. Like being born two years earlier, before Hawaii was a state...
Yes, and the address was path 9 hut 5.
1) You dont have the so called ‘real BC’
2) He is president, elected almost a year ago by the voters
3) You cant show HE forged anything himself. Is it his handwriting on the so called forgery?? who forges their own birth certificate?
4) He's the first AA president, so digging and digging for mud, but not finding any is poison.?
5) No one wants to talk about this but MSNBC, ever wonder why?
sickoflibs, you’re tone deaf about the moral issue. It’s not about pragmatism, it’s about principle.
All I can tell is that something is fishy with that. And as I said before, I don’t have a screen shot of the PREVIOUS DHHL site that specifically requested the LONG FORM, not the PRINT OUT. So there is(was) a difference obviously, or a State Agency wouldn’t be requesting it.
Maybe the ping list has someone with a screen shot of the previous DHHL site.
Me and the rest of the planet Earth. He was born, get over it.
I might be wrong about this, but I recall a discussion on FR that concluded that being born in a US territory would not be (has never been) a problem with regard to NBC status.
OTOH, we have a troll on this very thread who thinks that "being born" suffices...
No, that's not true. Hawaii has used the COLB form for years.
I never said they didn’t that form, but nice attempt.
No, what I said is that the DHHL changed the REQUIREMENTS for their services from the former required “Long Form” to the COLB.
RE :’OTOH, we have a troll on this very thread who thinks that “being born” suffices...’
He was born. I think he can prove that somehow.

Being a troll on a birth-certificater post doesnt take much. Except MSNBC, no one wants to join them.
You seem to be confusing two different things. DHHL doesn't control whether or not the long form is available. The change on their web site has nothing to do with that.
DHHL required more than proof of your own birth for their specific program, because it was a program specifically for those with Hawaiian ancestry. Just being born in Hawaii wouldn't be enough to qualify for that one program.
mlo ~ No, that's not true. Hawaii has used the COLB form for years.
You deliberately left out the context Didn't you?
DHHL required the long form to establish native Hawaiian rights.
After 0bama's missing long form became an issue, Hawaii stopped issuing them at all, rather than expose their corrupt system to scrutiny.
This forced DHHL to accept the only document DHS would release.
Yes the COLB has been acceptable for years for most ordinary business, but as long as it was available the Long From was required for anything important, like getting rights to Hawaiian land...
You replied to this statement:
"The problem is that Hawaii no longer issues long form birth certificates."
With:
"Yeah, isn't that conveinent? That changed a few months after Barry's inauguration and all the hub bub came up."
I correctly pointed out that you were mistaken, it was a change made years ago.
No, but you just did. You left out what it was autumnraine said had changed. I was correct.
*shrug* No one covered that Truman was in a wheelchair. No one covered Kennedy’s numerous dalliances, no one covered Johnson’s boorish behavior.
Kennedy was addicted to pain killers and doped up to his eyebrows with his finger hovering over The Button during the Cuban Missile Crisis. No one covered that.
Were it not for DNA evidence on a certain blue dress, we would have never known what a womanizing cur Clinton is.
Forgive me if I’m unimpressed by what the Washington lapdog press deliberately neglects to say.
You are telling untruths.
The land program didn't require other documentation because it was "important", or because a COLB isn't proof. It was a program where to be eligibile your ancestors have to be Hawaiian. So documentation about your ancestors are required.
The COLB is valid for any purpose which requires proving the facts of your own birth, but if the question is one of geneology other documents are going to be needed. Typically, you birthers distort this to fit into your own preconceived ideas.
As I said, you act like the mere fact that he can fog a mirror qualifies him for the presidency.
Your ancestors (parents) are on the COLB. Their COLBs have their parents, and so on.
If it were merely a question of ancestry, COLBs would suffice.
