To All:
What happened to AIDS?
I thought we were all going to die from AIDS.
What happened to the Bird Flu?
I thought we were all going to die from the Bird Flu.
What happened to SARS?
I thought we were all going to die from SARS.
What happened to ___________?
What’s next?
:-)
Children with controlled asthma are among the dead.
Doesn’t matter, as long as you’re fearful.
Thanks watchwoman (((((Hugs))))))
I think the emergency status is so they can release the emergency stockpiles of Tamiflu pills that George W put away.
I love your tagline. I had a similar “gestalt moment” when I worked with 2 elderly nurses and, as their supervisor, I had to have a discussion with them on the importance of giving these adolescents we were working with their medications on time...and they both remarked “pshaw! it doesn’t really matter”...took me many years before I realized that in the scheme of things and the long run...”pshaw, it really doesn’t matter...life is a game and you just need to play it”.....I have learned a lot from the folks “over 80” in the last few years...have loved spending time with them. You’re so fortunate to have your friend.
My grandmother told me about the swine flu in Washington State in 1919.
She said it was the young adult people who died mostly. My mother was choking and grandpa took her by the heels upside down and beat on her back till she cough out a lot of mucus.
He buried the other minister in town’s parishioners, and when he was sick the other minister buried his parishioners.
The 1918-1919 Swine flu was a much stronger strain. People died quickly from pleural effusions and stress on the heart, before secondary infections could have set in.
Oh, dear...thank you but no...hell no!
I guess one could get dizzy trying to kiss one’s own “arse” all the time. Having everyone else kiss it is not enough for someone with an ego like his. His ears stick out because his head swells so often that the poor things haven’t time to be flat against that enormous cranium.
I respect your opinion.
Okay, my child and I are asthmatic. What to do with this untested, possibly mercury laced vaccine? I had the swine flu shot in the 70’s, apparently with few adverse affects, and survived the Hong Kong flu (I just hoped I would die), but here we are. What to think?
I was offered the pig vaccine at work, but declined.

That's my feeling, too. And I bet there's a lot more like us.
Last two down here were in the 45-65 class, their distinction, not mine. Some that should be partially immune, supposedly.
Why didn’t you start Tamiflu pills when you first got sick?
Tamiflu works great on Influenza A and Swine flu. (Not an antibiotic; it's in the new antiviral class of drugs.)
My neighborhood comes down to the ones who fly the USA flag every day vs the ones who do not. I don’t know..the Zero w/surgical mask could be Zero being Michael Jackson for Halloween?
Eeeeuuww.....my eyes! MY EYES!!!!
Count me in with that pitchfork - I actually prefer a sand wedge - they can be quite effective - I once hit a rat through the door and across the street. These rats are just a little bigger.
You could get an arthrus reaction (redness, swelling) at the injection site as preexisting antibodies rushed in to the area to combat the antigen. I would definitely avoid nasal spray vaccine if you might have already had the H1N1 flu. But if you aren't sure you had swine flu, then it wouldn't be dangerous (just uncomfortable possible side effect) to get vaccine injection. There isn't enough swine flu vaccine injection to go around so those who already had the flu will be last on the list to be considered for immunization.
