I respect your opinion.
Okay, my child and I are asthmatic. What to do with this untested, possibly mercury laced vaccine? I had the swine flu shot in the 70’s, apparently with few adverse affects, and survived the Hong Kong flu (I just hoped I would die), but here we are. What to think?
I was offered the pig vaccine at work, but declined.
I doubt you could get swine flu vaccine now.
I recommend you have your doctor and pediatrician write prescriptions for Tamiflu for you and your child, and buy it now and have it available so that you can start immediately (within 24-48 hours) if/when you or child get symptoms of flu.
It’s great in knocking out the virus quickly so it can decrease the damage done to vulnerable lungs that can lead to morbity or mortality.
I wonder about the big swine flu scare of the ‘70s and how it affects some of us 40s, 50s, and older folks who have had the vaccine.
It seems to me this virus is affecting mostly younger people and just in the last few days a good number of the kids close to my circle have contracted it, including my 4 year old grandson.
What we were initially told about this is that's how it would go down, that it is highly contagious but not a particularly deadly virus. Now I'm hearing locally that everyone who presents “flu like symptoms” is being counted as a H1N1 sufferer. It probably doesn't matter a whole lot who is being counted as what, but for the political implications.
