National Review: Palin to endorse Doug Hoffman in NY-23 Race?
National Review ^

Posted on 10/22/2009 10:28:41 AM PDT by jsdjason

According to the writer, he has been hearing that she will endorse Doug Hoffman over the RNC's choice of Scozzafava. I sincerely hope that she does endorse Hoffman. I think it only gives her more credibility in showing that she does not give a hoot what the RNC says or does and sticks to her principals. Of course, this could be just the jolt that Hoffman needs to surge ahead of both of his liberal opponents.

I think Dick Armey is the greater cover than Michelle Bachmann. But kudos to Bachmann too!

The RNC is so disgusting that they pressured TX conservative Rep. Jeb Hensarling to endorse Scozzafava. Many conservatives were po’ed.

I don’t have a candidate because I can’t vote in this race...you do realize that this is a house seat don’t you? If you are interested in this race, I would at least bone up on the type of race that it is...lol.

Great opportunity for Sara to assume leadership of the conservative movement. Since there is open warfare going on between the GOP ruling elites and it’s grass roots conservatives, Sara could easily lead and unite conservatives with a real effort on behalf of Hoffman. I hope she does and I hope Hoffman wins. That would send a REAL message to the GOP that same old same old ain’t gonna work no more.

New York is one of the only states (if not THE only state) with a Conservative Party that is strong enough to garner ballot spots on a regular basis across the state. You would know this better than I do, but I think it has something to do with New York State’s election laws and the process required to get on these ballots.

when i was in middle school i had a teacher who had major issues with students getting those two mixed up. she told us “princiPAL= the guy who gives out discipline notices and you want him to be a friend or a pal. princiPLE= your personal code of conduct which may or may not keep you out of prison.” that has stayed with me for a long time and i pass it along to others who have those issues.

I hope Palin goes into the district and makes a real play for Hoffman to win.

It was 1970 in NY, not 1972 when Buckley won.

Good move for her, it will solidify here place in the conservative camp. She has little to lose if he loses, and a lot to gain if he wins.

However, I wonder if it will help Hoffman. He already has the conservative vote, and they tell us Sarah has high negatives among independents. It will be interesting to see what happens.

The so called GOP leadership will be working double time to ask her to not endorse anyone rather than endorse the non-RINO.

I hope (see pray) she tells the ALLEGED GOP leadership to engage in a reproductive impossibility.

Oh, he will jump back on board the conservative movement as soon as Hoffman wins, he will then take credit for some of it, and explain why the conservative movement is working and the tea partiy’s need to taken seriously. That is until the next time he defends a liberal GOPer.
