According to the writer, he has been hearing that she will endorse Doug Hoffman over the RNC's choice of Scozzafava. I sincerely hope that she does endorse Hoffman. I think it only gives her more credibility in showing that she does not give a hoot what the RNC says or does and sticks to her principals. Of course, this could be just the jolt that Hoffman needs to surge ahead of both of his liberal opponents.
..if she does, she has chosen—wisely...
Oh goody, I get to be the syntax/usage police ;-p
Mrs. Palin will stick to her princiPLES, not princiPALS.
Sorry; can’t help myself.
But great post otherwise. I hope she does endorse a properly principled CONSERVATIVE candidate and not the rhinette.
If true, this is amazing.
that’s my girl.
Great and almost necessary move for her credibility, I think if she does. A tad late, but not too late.
Well, I was actually hoping she’d go do a campaign event with him—
Smart move...Palin is smart to run for conservatives and against Washington.
I’m glad Fred Thompson endorsed him.
I wish he would run a real campaign in 2012. I still think he is a great candidate!
I don’t know anything about Hoffman but I’m for anything Sarah does to show she’s her own gal. The RNC can get bent.
I suspect that speculation will now move to whether or not Palin might manage a campaign appearance or two for Hoffman. My thoughts: she can endorse Hoffman without losing a lot of credibility if he loses. However, if she actively campaigned and Hoffman lost big, many on the left would spin this as proof that she has little credibility with the electorate at large. I’ll be interested in seeing what the next step will be if she endorses.
I usually proof read and whatnot, that’s the law student in me, but I was literally so excited at the thought of this news coming true that I typed it as fast as I could without double checking. Actually, I think I see a couple of other errors, but whatev. Apparently I just duplicated an earlier post on this that I didn’t see either. When it rains it pours.
Please...she’s certainly waiting until it was safe to do so. If she really was bold, she would have weeks ago, not waiting until Michelle Bachmann gave her cover.
Remember that in 1972 NY actually elected a Conservative Party candidate, Jim Buckley, to the Senate...all is possible..
She better because she is still throwing her lot behind a 3rd candidate (even though we all know it is the only Real Republican in the race) and can’t have her first election cycle endorsement get beat.
If Palin does endorse Hoffman, I don’t think she will travel to NY to campaign for him. Instead she might post a Facebook entry praising Hoffman and have Sarah Pac donate much needed money to Hoffman.
By all means, please inform us of WHO your candidate is and where they stand on the Hoffman race. I’m sure your guy got there 3 weeks ago when nobody had even heard of the race....
She’ll certainly draw attention! Can you imagine what just a single campaign appearance could do?
