Classic Steyn
Question - why didn’t someone challenge this RINO in the primaries?
Yes
We have called it the Stupid Party for a long while now
No, the GOP establishment is not stupid. GOP leaders at every level of the power structure (federal, state, local) believe that conservatives are a much graver threat to their personal lifestyles than are the donks.
The donks aren’t going to get in the way of their pork-riddled, lavish taxpayer- and PAC-funded back-slapping lifestyles. Conservatives will.
Steyn has “discovered” the virtues of limited government and suspicion of executive power only since Obama took office. Before that, he was one of the biggest defenders of Bush’s expansive, anti-civil liberty pro-government policies. Why should he be taken seriously now?
They don’t call the GOP “The Stupid Party” for nothing.
I suppose its better than “The Evil Party” aka The Democrat Party.
Yes
The party structure is still dominated by the country club blue bloods that's why the GOP is not pulling in the money the way it use to. Sen. DeMint has created the alternative with SenateConservatives.com. All money given to it goes to conservatives not the party.
“...A pro-tax pro-card-check liberal Republican as liberal as the liberal Democrat...”
There’s no such thing as a “Liberal Republican”.
There are AMERICANS....and then there are Liberals.
Send Dede D*uchebag or whatever the hell her name is packing back to the Democrat party where she belongs.
NO RINOs. Not now. Not ever again.
It sure seems that way...
It sure looks that way. Some people are blaming the Scuzzafava debacle on the scumbag "GOP" committee in New York that selected this liberal Democrat to run on the GOP ticket, but that excuse turns lame when you see people like Gingrich vociferously supporting her, and key Republican "leaders" in Washington DC sending checks to her. Yipes.
