Question - why didn’t someone challenge this RINO in the primaries?
This is a special election; no primary was held.
“Why didn’t someone challenge this RINO in the primaries?”
The GOP selected Dede Scozzafava so they could have someone in the (R) column. Doug Hoffman, her opponent on the right, is a conservative in the (C) column. He’s on the November ballot, but so is the (D).

No primary, it was a pick by the local Republican power broker - a lib female.
She had a choice between the lib and a conservative. She picked the lib.
Now another Conservative (not the one not picked) is running on a third party ticket.
It’s a mess.
This is a case of political suicide. The Tea Party people need to flood this district and get Hoffman in office, to stick a justified thumb in the eyes of the regulars in BOTH parties.

Scozzafava was "nominated" by the eleven GOP county chairmen in the District.
Proving, I suppose, that it takes more than eleven GOP county chairmen to screw in the light bulb...
