House Ways & Means Committee Chairman Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.) held a hearing this morning to certify that H.R. 3200 -- the main House Obamacare bill which was the subject of all the town hall rage in August -- has met all requirements to pass as a budget reconciliation measure.
Under reconciliation, the bill can be passed by a simple majority vote in the Senate -- just 51 votes -- and will be given preferential treatment on the House floor as well. The Dems have apparently invoked the nuclear option to shut out Republicans and ensure the bill is passed before the end of the year. (see link for more....)

They darn well better! And even some Dems, those from conservative districts. They should all be standing up and saying to the public and the Congress, I took an oath to the Constitution, not to any party, or any man. And this bill does not square with the Constitution, therefore I cannot support it.
That is what they SHOULD be doing, I wonder how many will be brave enough to.
I agree. The people need to rise up like we did in August.
I don’t think he’s the anti-christ because there have been other evil people; Lenin, Stalin, Hitler and so far...and I do mean so far as in yet, I haven’t seen the deaths, the camps and other happenings which marked the reigns of a Linen, a Stalin or a Hitler.
So far while I’ve heard the retoric of what he wants to accomplish but at least from what I’m seeing he’s good at starting things but he (to me) appears to lose interest and doesn’t exhibit very good follow through. I pray we make it through because I do believe he’s either a sociopath or a psychopath. He appears to have absolutely no clue about people and how to approach them. It’s entirely possible that he’s unable to experience empathy or care or sympathy. It’s either anger or jubilation.
I am not very good at predicting distant futures. That said..
I share your disillusionment, and if I may explain why:
Every tea partier, in order to be seen for the isolated moments they are visible, must take a day off work or exert some kind of self-financed effort to make his/her presence known. For many, this involves taking time away from a job they are justifiably fearful of losing. There comes a point where the effort required to protest the current path of developments is just too much of a burden to continue. So, as I see it, if the “movement” does not acquire more and more adherents, it will slowly die off from inertia. There is only so much effort that people with actual lives and actual families can be expected to exert. Especially when it appears not to be doing much; or even steeling the resolve of the Marxists in charge. And the more it attenuates, the people to whom it is addressed are heartened.
As I said, as economic conditions deteriorate for J6P, half or more will simply capitulate and beg for government cheese as the sacrifice of their freedoms seems like less and less of a bad deal, since without their own bailout, those freedoms diminish in perceived value. After all, your freedom to do what want, where you want, to travel, to pursue life and liberty wherever it may take you becomes fairly meaningless if you cannot feed nor house yourself & your family. Desperate people, and I predict that the numbers of these will relentlessly rise, will gladly sign away their freedoms out of pure survival.
And finally, a really greasy and evil-implication example has been set by the bank bailouts. “Where’s mine?”
There is of course an election approaching, but if the “where’s mine” element of our society increases in strength, no particular outcome is predictable. And significant damage may well be done by that point.
No, be one of the BRAVE and help keep our country FREE.

Some say we're doomed and some say, "I'm buying more ammo". They've already passed the stimulous package, and no one stopped them. Obama's gone to other countries and apologized for the U.S. Despite our anger, he got away with it. The arrogant democrats are bound and determined to force national health care on us while all we do is fret and fume.
An "armed citizenry" looks like a fantasy.
It surely will not be our God given right as supported and expressed in the second amendment. They don't have the will or the numbers...yet.
It will more likely be our right to worship and speak as affirmed in the first. The free exchange of ideas on the internet is high on their list.
