ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- An Orange County man caught two burglars breaking into his house, so he pulled out his gun and shot them both Tuesday night. One of the burglars was killed and the other is in critical condition.
The deceased burglar was identified as 17-year-old Brandon Martinez.
Deputies say the owner of the house on Rubens Court (see map) won't be arrested. They say he did nothing wrong.
The homeowner, along with his brother and son, had just gotten home from work when he confronted the burglars Tuesday night. They had already ransacked his house and even tried to get into a safe. Anthony Julien, 50, insists he had no choice but to take action.
“The way I look at it is like they invade my privacy and I was scared when I come in, so I defended, you know, my property,” he said.

I believe that is one of the provisions in the “Stand Your Ground” law. The person protecting himself or others is, in turn, protected from any lawsuits against him, for his legal actions.
The NRA may help him with legal expenses in that regard,and if a fund is set up for him,he’ll do ok. I’d donate.
I believe there are specialized crime scene cleaning services for this job. The homeowner's insurance would cover the cost, I imagine. Who knows what sort of pathogens are in the blood, etc. so you would want a cleaning crew that knows how to deal with bio-hazard material.

You leave the blood stained mess, put a sign on it with an arrow, showing the next burglar what happen to the last one.
I think the homeowner is the one who must clean up.
However, you better make sure they are IN your home and not outside, or if they are outside they had better be armed and either getting ready to shoot you or are shooting.
In most states the state's victim's compensation fund will pay for clean up.
