The world's heaviest snake, the green anaconda is one of nine huge alien snake species that may wreak havoc if they take hold in the United States, according to a U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) report released this week.
- Kenneth Krysko, senior herpetologist at the Florida Museum of Natural History in Gainesville, called the report "extremely thorough." But it came as "no real surprise that giant constrictors can potentially be a threat to not only the wildlife here but to the humans," added Krysko, who was not involved in the report.
Green anacondas have not been known to attack humans, but their tastes vary widely, including fish, turtles, dogs, and tapirs. The snakes ambush prey from the water and constrict them with an immediately deadly, bone-crushing force.

Many are occupying slots in the U. S. Congress.
Seems like an object lesson for socialism
Speaking of snakes, this snake was huge!

Put some tobasco sauce on them, and unleash a family of cajuns. They'll be gone in a week. Of course, most Floridians would also consider cajuns to be an invasive species.
Isn’t it a bit harsh to call Mexicans snakes or implying their another species? Oh... you meant python-viper-constrictor-type snakes... isn’t that embarrassing?
;)
Do-gooders gone wild!
Florida: Horace the anaconda, cute as a little guy, is set free in the ‘Glades ‘cuz wimpy-a$$ed owners don’t have the heart to “euthanize” him.
Colorado: Fluffy the cougar, thanks to Walt Disney and others of his ilk, is free to kill (Google up “Scott Lancaster Idaho Springs”) and roundly loved by the People’s Republic of Boulder.
GAAHH!
Ya got me!
LOL!!
So where is the Nancy Pelosi picture?
*they’re, not their... guess I need to have my fingers/eyes checked.
We need to put about a dozen of these in congress and lock all the doors. In two weeks they would have all the “rats” cleaned out.
They are making a much bigger deal about this so they can continue to take away our freedoms. Most of these big snakes can not handle temps lower than 75-80 degrees and will die off due to the normal winter temp fluctuations. And yes, there are people hunting these snakes and they find some, but not a huge population taking over Florida.
Typical fear mongering....
