Yes, he finalized the calendar but I think it's a mistake to go on TV talking about dates for a jury trial that you don't know if you'll have yet. I'd agree that one should at least couch it in terms of "IF" we go to trial it will be "XX January".
I guess I'd go with the more cautious approach to public statements and let discovery speak for itself when it happens, there will be no way to ignore or ridicule that!
While I agree with the first part, I'm sure Obama his Acorn and SEIU thugs and the adoring media will find a way.

The definition that was in use by the state statutes and court case opinions at the time the Constitution was written was most definitely NOT the one given by Vattel. The definition in use by the original 13 state statutes and courts at the time was based on jus soli, and the only time that jus sanguinis applied was for children born outside the boundaries of the states (and, pre-statehood, colonies). That is an established historical fact. I'm sure you can provide the sources and quotes then. I will be very hard to convince that the intent of the natural born citizen clause, to help lesson foreign influence and intrigue, would have been met in John Jay's estimation by someone with a foreign national for a father.

Slight correction. Perkins Coie did file two appellate briefs in the two Berg appeals from cases that were initiated in October and December 2008, before Obama was President. True, but BHO didn't have to open his personal checkbook to pay their bill. It was left over campaign contributions, IIRC.

That...the President had to be a natural-born citizen? Why?
Intent can illuminate meaning.

Criticizing Taitz is equivalent to defending Obama? Critiquing any aspect of the birther's *argument* is deemed as tantamount to supporting Obama.
By the way, what is even more amusing than that is some of the posts submitted by birthers on their unique interpretation of the Constitution.

1. Nobody really knows if Barry is a naturalized citizen, or a US citizen at all for that matter. Citizenship is conferred to a child (as is his last name) by a child's father. Couple that with the fact that this particular child's mother wasn't even old enough to confer citizenship to her son, even if he was actually born in Hawaii.............. Now THAT rings the bell of the most wacked out theory posted on the thread yet. Could you site something in the constitution or Federal code that supports that.
There is a 1952 US law that requires a US citizen (Stanley Ann) married to an alien (Obama Sr.) to have been physically present in the United States for 10 years, including five after reaching the age of 14, to transmit citizenship to foreign-born children (maybe Barry was born in Hawaii, maybe not). Obama's mother was 18 when he was born. More reason to see the long form...
2. Barry is DEFINITELY not Natural Born. His own admission of British citizenship blows this one out of the water.........Got any courts that will even take a nibble at that including the SCOTUS.?
That would be the DC District court, by a proceeding of "quo warranto." More info on this
here.

She could have been 13. Born in the US is a US Citizen, by the 14th amendment, confirmed by "Wong Kim Ark". But native born, in the modern sense, and "natural born" in the 18th century sense, are not necessarily the same thing.

Birth on US soil to two American citizens (naturalized is OK) is the requirement Do you need some kind of special glasses to see the emanation from the penumbra that contains this requirement, or does a fifth of JD do the trick?

She’s too spastic. That’s why they love putting her on camera. Joy should interview Keyes or Gary Kreep.

Has Keyes been in any of the pre-trial hearings to date? I don't think so, since his presene is not required. He can follow the events over the internet, even from a ship. (Although I understand it's pretty expensive), since your wireless link is 22,000 miles up to the switch, and another 22k back down to the wired 'net.) Somehow, having messages pertaining to Birther delusions transmitted through outer space seems so... apropos.

A child born in the United States is a citizen, even if both parents are not.

Funny then, since he did publically acknowledge it, that the Republicans never bothered to go through the mere formality of getting him removed from the ballot.
In fact, that's not the law either.
