Interesting. Perhaps Reid has run the figures and thinks his gay vote will outnumber his mormon vote in the coming election.

I don't think in Nevada. Aren't Mormons are around 12% of the electorate in that state? I think the imbecile has decided he would rather be majority leader for the next 15 months than U.S. Senator for the next seven years.
He probably has the promise of some cushy cabinet job or lobbyist job in return for his support.

Oh, good — attack the Mormons. I hear they are running Las Vegas these days. Bye bye Reid. Not a moment too soon.

Polls in NV are showing Reid sucking dirt in relation to both Rep candidates. This is an act of desperation.

I always thought reid was drunk most of the time. By going against his church in Nevada, he either has a death wish or doesn’t plan on running for reelection.

As a lifelong member of the LDS Church, I can't figure out why they let Reid continue to shoot off his mouth like this.
Publicly opposing the Church is supposed to be a pretty big no-no.

"He personally said they needed to be focused on other things," she said, "and he felt it was harmful for the church to focus on such a divisive issue." So Reid tells the churches in Nevada to Shut Up. Well instead they might just turn out to vote. Perhaps they will tell him their feelings about being TOLD how their health care will be and that their seniors are being selfish about it.
Oh and they may have something to say about being told that Obama is their Messiah. I don't think they've (except the Liberal ones) have liked that.

LOL, did Reid also “rip” blacks for their overwhelming support of Prop. 8?
