Chicago loses in first round of voting. 101st Airborne Division due in Copenhagen shortly.
Beck, an increasingly contentious figure, got under the Administration's skin via typically goofy segment (Link goes directly to video) on Obama's plan to travel to Copenhagen to lobby on behalf of the city of Chicago's bid for the 2016 Olympic Games. While the White House bloggers do effectively rebut several of the points raised during the segment on Beck's show, you have to ask yourself when the White House decided to duke it out with television pundits.
Guy Benson, blogging for the National Review, is wondering the same thing: "Perhaps I've totally missed the boat on this, but is it customary for the official White House website to attack individual political commentators and TV networks?...It seems utterly beneath the Office of the President of the United States to be authoring snarky blog posts assailing critics in the media. Unless I missed this type of thing in the past, this represents yet another unseemly change brought about by this hyper-partisan White House."
Look, the man promised us change. This counts. He never said the changes would be logical or productive, and if we read too much into that, that's our own fault.
Blogging at Time magazine, Michael Scherer sees potential for this to indeed drag on for a long while yet: "Quite a twist, eh? This is just the latest public declaration in the barely-subsurface battle that has been going on for months between Fox News and the White House--which Fox is winning at least in terms of ratings. We are in new terrain here. The White House is using its official blog to go after a network.

How much longer before the White House goes after Fox with something more substantial than a blog?
First Rush, now Beck.
This TOTUS is an easy target — he flies low and slow in the assumption that no one would ever rhetorically shoot at him.
Now there's a takeaway quote!
It will be FCC oriented and soon most likely.
I was wondering why they switched from targeting Rush to targeting Beck. I don’t like Beck as much (not that he’s not good, it’s just taste). Rush is more powerful, intellectually as well as in terms of market penetration.
Also, remember how Rush and Beck had some kind of meeting, earlier this last summer, and Rush appeared on Beck’s show? I wonder if they’re working together in some way. Beck as the flak-catcher, Rush flying high cover.
Is it all because Beck cost them a czar? Maybe that’s it. I think Rush costs them more in the long run.
I’m not complaining, let me make that clear.

I think you are right. Rush was just irritating — Beck drew blood.
White House OBJECTS?
Buahahahahahahah! Lay on McBeck!
Vet your own people, Obathing!
The next to go will be the NAMBLA loving POS Czar of School Safety, wherein bathroom sex with minors ( statutory rape)is an approved activity.
I don’t watch TV, but GB’s show seems to be quite humorous while whacking Washington DC. Thanks for getting me to watch a few youtube segments.
Yes indeed. Some don't like him; even some conservatives. But you have to admit he knows how to shake that tree.
I hope the next scalp Beck takes is that of that POS commie whore Valerie Jarrett.
The Movie The Devils Advocate is on TNT (west coas) righ now.
Just started (25min ago).
It reminds me of the whole 0 and minions.
Perfect for our times.
(btw I have seen it numorous times before 0 was elected)
Oh well, Chavez does the same thing down in Venezuela and Putin does it in Russia and well....since our president doesn't keep his oath of office to protect seriously, it is no wonder he has slugs blogging there heads off from the White House defending his stupidity and it is no wonder there is ZERO transparency as promised.
Our nation is getting torn apart at the seams by this gaggle of dirtbags.
I agree, Rush I could listen to all day, however after an hour I have had enough of Glenn (but I like his spirit and fight). Sean Hannity is another one I can barely listen to, he repeats himself and has no depth. I am starting to really like Greta though, since the election she has taken a more conservative view.
This is exactly who he is gunning for now
Only after he trained his sights on Jarrett did the White House start a blog trying to slime Glenn Beck
This shows that Jarrett is a most valued insider at the 0bongo White House
Sean is hopeless. Maybe the ladies like him, I’m not sure.
He follows the normal Disney formula: 40% self-promotion, 60% watered down, warmed-over material cribbed from the classics. Well, one classic in particular.
He needs to go after the FCC Czar Mark Lloyd, next. Look him up if you arent familiar with him.
Rush understands their mentality far better than they understand him. I think the battle turned for good when Rush challenged Obama to a live debate on his program. The Obamites got all wee-wee'd up and had no way to even think of a good answer..
Someone with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) can react violently when their self-image is threatened. If Hussein is increasingly mocked, ridiculed, and disrespected, look for him to become increasingly irrational and insane.
