Did IOC Vote FOR Zelaya's Protectors
October 2, 2009 | Wuli

Who holds the most votes, as a block, in the IOC and what is the politics of their current governments?

Why Brazil and why at this time?

Was it a vote to reward Brazil's leaders for their attempt to put a Marxist thug back in power in Honduras?

No. First South American Olympics trumped everything.

Honestly? I think it was because you can have a lot more fun in Rio than you can in Chicago.

Barrack Hussein Obama, Mmmm, Mmmm, Mmmm, is Zelaya’s biggest protector. BO has cut off aid to Honduras until his Marxist Brother is restored to power.

Good point - Makes the assumption moot.

Rio sounds like a place I’d actually like to visit some day. Except for Brazil’s lulu gay politics. I’m afraid of what I might stumble across.

Truthfully, there isn’t a person in this country, given prevalent perceptions of Chicago, the Chicago-way, corruption, weather, just general suckassness of the place that could think that Chicago is a great place to hold Olympic games. On the other hand, Beaches of Rio and those thonged asses could do wonders for the world’s games enthusiasssts....

"Was it a vote to reward Brazil's leaders for their attempt to put a Marxist thug back in power in Honduras?"

If the IOC wants to reward leaders who want Zelaya back in power, why would it reward Brazil's leaders but not Obama since they want the same thing?

The Obamas have loudly dissed the US for 2 years.

Why are they surprised that the IOC decided to go elsewhere?

Trying to spin this is ridiculous.

South America never had the Olympic games.

The World Cup is going to be in South Africa, because they have never held a world game.
