Richard Dawkins's Jewish Problem
beliefnet ^ | September 29, 2009 | David Klinghoffer

The Anti-Defamation League, the country's leading group dedicated to fighting anti-Semitism, is rightly sensitive to the offense of trivializing the Holocaust. Why, then, has the ADL said nothing in protest against the Darwinian biologist and bestselling atheist author Richard Dawkins and his comparison of Darwin doubters to Holocaust deniers?...

You are a cultist, however, because of your steadfast insistence on assuming the godlike decision making authority as to who else is Christian, and who is not.

You are doing no different than you claim I am, when you render judgment on who is and is not a Christian.

Telling me, tpanther, agamemnon, etc, that we are cultists and not Christians is pointing the finger back at yourself.

By your own words you are condemned.

==Not at all—only those who bastardize his message in an effort to overcome a weak faith and to ensure a position of power in the megachurch pecking order qualify as cultists.

LOL...Bucky won’t tell us what he considers to be the substance of Jesus’ message, and then he turns around and tells us we’re bastardizing it!

“By your own words you are condemned. “

Not at all. I do not deny the Christianity of individuals or groups based on theology. I do, however, conclude that you are a cultist on the basis of your denial of the same.

You’re trying, but you’ve really got nothing. I feel sorry for you, too.

So, once again, anyone that understands and defends the measure of understanding Chrisitianity in the medium of the written word, i.e. Biblical scripture, is a cultist.

Just nevermind there IS no other actual measure when it comes to the written word!

The question is...is this poor soul an unwitting servant and victim, or just misunderstands, OR is this a liberal doing their best undermining both Christianity and FR?

I can’t say as I’ve ever met anyone so confused on this subject in all my years: if misguided, it’s about as misguided as possible, if purposeful, then what a whack-job to think it would fly!

Either way poo...you’re just...TOASTY!

I’m sure the Muslims try to explain away what they did, or simply deny it."

No. They trumpet it. They brag about it. They use it to intimidate people into silence and submission. They want to be sure that you understand just how horribly you will die, and what tortures your whole family will be subjected to before you get your head sawed off, if you don’t submit. That’s what ‘Islam’ means . . . submission.

It just amazes me that some are incapable of saying . . .

It just amazes me that some are incapable of understanding that by now everyone knows The Drill. First one must confess to the horrible atrocities that the Christian hypocrites perpetrated on all the innocent little brown peace-loving people of the world, then the beatings commence. That’s The Drill. I’ve not denied the Christian atrocities of The Crusades. I don’t propose, however, to flog myself to satisfy your bloodlust.

It’s a con game. It’s a spin-off on an old swindle: The Founding Fathers, those racist, sexist, homophobic criminals, supported SLAVERY! Oh, the horror! We deny everything in the Declaration. Lies! All lies! Those Euro-centric white men hate all blacks (just like they hate all the little peace-loving brown people), and want to poison their food, so they will die young of cancer and heart disease (Whitey invented AIDS for the same purpose). And The Constitution! It’s worse! Full of negative rights that don’t allow the poor and oppressed to ever get ahead because government isn’t allowed to do anything for them (I know some think that’s a new twist introduced by 0bama, but it’s as old as the others). That’s The Drill.

Altogether now, let’s do The Drill.

Not that understanding is your objective, but let me try to explain something to you. I always get a laugh when Darwinians, and other defenders of Science, launch into a frenzied reactive fit if the subject of eugenics, or lobotomies, or shock therapy, or any of the other storied whopping errors of Science are raised. Quite properly they muster arguments very similar to my arguments made in response to your observations on the Crusaders, because, as with your criticisms, such criticisms are ahistorical. But what is of comical interest here is that their incensed, shrieking reaction to these ahistorical criticisms is a dead giveaway that they understand how vulnerable they are themselves to the same sort of attacks, since that is also the game they play.

those who bring up the history attacked . . .

How attacked? Do you define ‘attacked’ as disagreement with you? Do you define ‘attacked’ as criticism of your position? Have I called you a poopy head or something?

Nobody ever did anything wrong in the name of Christianity, right?

Nobody ever did anything right in the name of Christianity, right? (since misrepresentation is your game). Anytime you get tired of sophist arguments, you have a whole boatload of unanswered issues that you’ve run away from.

You seem to have put down the malt liquor and picked uo the ganja. Please, don’t drive!

No, you misrepresent me. You’re either ignorant or a liar; I don’t care which, as the thought of either entertains me.

It’s not YOUR understanding or YOUR faith that makes you a cultist. It’s your refusal to acknowledge the Chrtistianity of others who clearly are Christian that does.

Wrong. Doctrine and theology are critical to whether someone is labeled a cult or cultist or not.

There are lots of people who do good deeds, but that's not what makes them a Christian, because that's not what salvation is based on.

It's based on the death of Christ on the cross and His resurrection. One cannot do enough good deeds to earn their way into heaven and doing good deeds isn't what makes one a Christian. It just makes them a person who does good deeds.

It better be. There's only one Jesus Christ who died for us and it's only His death that atones for our sins.

It’s your refusal to acknowledge the Chrtistianity of others who clearly are Christian that does.

That's not the measure of whether one is a Christian or cultist or not.

“Wrong. Doctrine and theology are critical to whether someone is labeled a cult or cultist or not.”

Wrong? How can you call my definition of your specific cult wrong? It’s not your theology, it’s your denial.

That makes your group a cult.

In fact, I will name your cult. You shall now be known as the Hare Christians, as you have so much in common with the Hare Krishnas.

Wrong theology is what defines cults.

The Bible is what you look to to define correct theology.

If what a church teaches doesn’t match up with Scripture, it’s a cult.

Your presumption of my denial of what you consider a Christian, which you have yet to define, is not what makes me a cultist.

Hey, I understand your position. Retreat is not defeat, so don’t fret! You’ll be back to repeat the same pablum another day!

And to your point—I don’t wear my faith out on my sleeve as an ornament to impress fellow Christians. Cultists seem to do that, as public displays of Christianity appear to have a pheromone-like effect on the like-minded.

“Your presumption of my denial of what you consider a Christian, which you have yet to define, is not what makes me a cultist.”

The fact that you deny the Christianity of Catholics, Episcopalians, etc., is what makes you a cultist.

This really isn’t hard. I don’t know why you keep misrepresenting me.

What I find particularly interesting about the liberals on FR, is they pretend somehow as though evolution is the conservative position and expect people to believe it, but if that’s not bad enough, they occasionally give themselves away when it comes to various other subjects...as you’ve exposed here with the crusades YHAOS.

On more than one occasion I’ve seen their facade dissolve on the liberal separation of church insanity...

from public displays of Christianity...

to IGWT on our money...

minimalizingor ignoring the insidious NEA...

pretending as though liberals don’t sue normal Christian people for any and everything that “offends” them and pretending as though Christians are the problem and “wound up too tight” when this behaviour is pointed out of them.

Christians are for the most part merely trying to hang onto the heritage established in this country by the various founders and settlers hundreds of years ago, while it’s the secular humanist liberals that are wound up way too tight trying to destroy it.

No one is this stupid...I've got sheetrock in my living room with more smarts poo...

What part of understanding Christianity via the medium of the written word do you not understand?

When Christians seek to understand, and use a standard TO understand, not to mention discern Christians, Christian behaviour, etc.; they don't turn to Bucky-poo's feel good down the rabbit hole compilations as a standard...or ANYTHING else but scripture found in the Holy Bible.

It's THE standard EVERY Christian uses. YOU don't get to just willy-nilly pick and choose what to accept and reject, JESUS set the standard.

With all the references to substances, perhaps this is your only out, otherwise I think you're just going to attract more and more people to the "purposeful troll" category with your every subsequent post, poo.
