Being that I work for a public school district in CA, I will go on record as stating that I will not be forced to take a flu shot regardless of the consequences to my job.

I'm sure the taxpayers of California will thank you. I understand there's quite a deficit out there and you would be doing your part by taking yourself off the government payroll.

I don’t like the word “mandatory”. New Jersey is now added to my list of places not to do business or visit, along with N.Korea, California, New York, and the set of the Oprah show.

No exemptions?? How can they do that? Especially if someone has a medical exemption.

Wow New Jersey kids and military folks...It will either be the NJ kids and military still standing or the rest of the population who does not take the shots left standing...conclusion will be known later...lol.

What about Guillain-Barre syndrome? That killed a lot of people as a result of the shots from the original Swine Flu WIll Kill us All during Carter admin, and the remake of Swine Flu will Kill is All just released by the Obama admin is nothing but a slight recipe change from the original. (and I bet you thought h1n1 only "just" made the species jump)

I was required to take the polio vaccine. When a baby is born it is required to have mumps, measles and rubella vaccine....and hepatitis B....

So what’s the big deal? If you don’t want your child in pubic school then don’t put him there, and don’t get the shot.

I love these people who don’t immunize their kids. Fine. Everyone else is immunized around you, and so you think you did the right thing as your kids stay healthy all through their young years.

Then as teens they travel and they get sick, or when they are pregnant they come down with rubella...

VEry smart.

And while we’re at it....by no means... don’t use any DDT to eradicate mosquitos...let’s let malaria run rampant.

I agree. At this juncture, there seems to be a high infectious rate, and deaths occurring among those most at risk.

I don’t think the general population should be at more risk than the common flu.

When I was young we were mandated to take polio and small pox. We have now seen those diseases eradicated.

There does come a time when you either take a vaccine to survive or you will be quaranteened.

In this case, NJ has decided to mandate the vaccine or else you stay home and away from others.

I think they need to convince us on the basis of why they are doing this.

"I was required to take the polio vaccine. When a baby is born it is required to have mumps, measles and rubella vaccine....and hepatitis B....

"So what’s the big deal?

The big deal is 1: the last time a version of this particular vaccine was forced, it killed more people than the flu, and B: the mild symptoms make vaccination HARDLY a vital necessity, unlike much more serious conditions, which DO require vaccination, like small pox, polio and rubella, which your kid CAN get (and suffer from for the rest of their lives) whether they're homeschooled or not.

“I can tell you now that they will never, by force, stick a needle in me, or my family while I’m alive. I don’t care what their grand scheme is. I don’t care if it is just me alone against the entire US Military. They’ll be injecting a corpse because I will not submit. If they try to inject my children by force they will be met by to-the-death resistance.”

I like your little protocol there.

If enough Americans thought like you, we could have the government eating their vaccines, washing it down with bitefuls of healthcare legislation.

Small pox and rubella? We'll take our chances. Sorry, but when I was a criminal investigator in the Army I found out the bad way that the 6-month shot is a potential killer. The family was devastated and the neighborhood came out to console them. Luckily I was assigned the hospital interviews as the neighborhood was about to riot over our presence that night. Their child died the night of the 6-month shots. When I interviewed the immunization nurse I asked her if she thought the shots may have somehow been a factor in the child's death (SIDS). She said: "we're not supposed to talk about that".

During the investigation I did extensive research on immunization and SIDS. We couldn't just say "SIDS" as that's considered the easy 'cop-out' for cases of child abuse as many apparent SIDS cases were found to actually be cases of child abuse/murder. But this actually was a SIDS case and we had to substantiate it. The best I could find was a statistically significant correlation between the 6-month shots and SIDS. That allowed us to cite SIDS and close the case.

But I remember that family, the child's death and the research I did on their behalf. The immunization risk calculations are based upon infants not having mature immune systems whereby they are vectors for disease as the mother brings them along in many public places. In effect children are Faustian victims of a risk-vs-reward numbers play, but the numbers reflect 19th century medical realities, not 21st century medical capabilities and the victims are almost all on the reward side. I say that's now the risk to the population.

They really need to update their calculations. Far more children are injured and killed than the likelyhood of getting diseases such as small pox, rubella, etc.

"...we would probably still be suffering the scourges of smallpox and polio."

...but not autism or SIDS. Considering the odds for each we're taking our chances and waiting 5 years before immunizing our daughter. Sure, we don't know if she'll contract a (19th century) "scourge" but we do know she won't be brain damaged or killed on our dime, courtesy the medical establishiment.

What a Democrat hellhole!

I live in NJ and can't argue that. Though I found it ironic that my friend in Texas is going through a legal battle, with the threat of foreclosure on his home in the balance, against his neighborhood's home owners association. Seems everyone wants to control over everyone else.

I have Addison’s Disease, so I guess I would be considered high risk too.

I can’t help being a little suspicious of it all.

I read somewhere that Zero owns stock in a biopharm company that makes vaccines and has been pushing the idea of a pandemic and mass vaccinations since 2005.

Have you read the state statistics on those diseases... in the states that forced Polio vaccinations, had proportionally higher incidence of Polio.

That behind said, that was a vaccine that was made and not well or long tested. Just like this “Flu” virus. Which is not even as virulent as a regular flu! Why the panic for something not as serious as AVERAGE? Hum?

Besides that, most of the available vaccinations have mercury in them, and that right there is a no go.

Soon to be followed by Texas as Gov Perry wanted to force girls to get the Gardasil vaccine...
