Glad to hear this.....We need as many as possible to get "kicked out" of those government indoctrination asylums.

IAC, since these parents are already criminally abusing their offspring (the government's children), they have no right to complain.

Yes, most/all states have requirements for immunizations. But most/all have a medical, religious and/or philosophical exemption which the parent can submit.

Here in Illinois we have the medical and religous exemption. The state kept requiring additional vaccinations, such as chicken pox and hepatitis and rotavirus. The rotavirus requirement was yanked when it was later determined the vaccination caused bowel obstructions.

Anyway, our children attend Catholic (private) schools. The vaccinations are still “required”. Our children received most vaccinations singularly and not a cocktail of several vaccinations at once. We did not have our children vaccinated for these last 3 (chicken pox, rotavirus and hepatitis) and the schools accepted (and still accept) our written and signed religous exemption.

If “x” percent of children in a school district are not vaccinated, the district loses state money (not certain about fed money).

Not certain what N.J. does or other states do. I wonder if ILlinois is going to add this as a new vaccination.

Good job usmom.

Back in the 1990’s I wrote letters to anyone who would listen as to the potential dangers of vaccinations they don’t warn you about - its in the fine print on the approval form a parent signs. And I was called a nut and right-wing fanatic by a medical professional (here in the SW burbs of Chicago) at a talk about vaccinations. And i went toe-to-toe with them and the CDC reps about live-polio vaccinations and rotavirus and a few others.

Lo and behold, by the time our 4th child was born in 2000, the changed the polio vaccination and got rid of the rotavirus vaccination (although a new one is out there).

Parents need to be informed and make informed decisions with their children’s healthcare and NOT blindly follow what others say you have to do. Unfortunately it takes a lot of work to make them change/relax their “requirements”, but it can be done.

This only applies to kids in government schools. Kids in capitalist schools or home schooled aren’t bothered by the mandate.

This is just one more reason we should get rid of socialized schooling and return to the capitalist system of schooling.

I’m going to check into the company on the thread you posted. But, Goldman Sachs is key holder of Baxter. Not sure if it means anything, but just an FYI.

“I don’t understand, why is everyone on FR freaking about this particular H1N1 flu vaccine? “

There have been several accounts of H1N1 vaccines and some negative results afterwards. Each person will have to decide the risks involved to them or their family. Here is a link to a recent article. The comments below the article are very interesting.

Just move south.

There are hardly any National Socialists down here as compared to Commieland and Stalinois.

Communists and National Socialists were notorious for pushing double standards onto the masses they dominated.

The democrats are no different in their views toward our society.

I absolutely agree. My Mom is a nurse, and she wants no part of it. She is someone who does get a flu shot every year, but wants no part of this H1N1 hyperbole.

Wary of unverified story alluded to in the aforementioned comments at CBS story.
Stay sharp.
Don’t get sucked into tinfoil territory.
Verify and double verify.
Good advice.

Being that I work for a public school district in CA, I will go on record as stating that I will not be forced to take a flu shot regardless of the consequences to my job.

I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that in the same state where government schooled children are singing praises to Dear Leader, children are forced by the state to be human guinea pigs.

And it’s the state with the most gun laws.

And one of the most reliably Democrat.

Well, with all the Pro-Obama propaganda going on in New Jersey schools, your kids are better off being kicked out of class...

But will the socialist-fascist-commie state then say that you are neglecting the proper care and education of your child or children, and accuse you of child abuse & neglect, as a pretext to taking your kids away from you???

I think this could be a very real possibility.

“NO ONE is going to FORCE me to shoot my kids up with ANYTHING.

PERIOD.”

Every State requires multiple vaccinations for all children attending school, including Oregon. Requirements for every state can be found here:
http://www.immunizationinfo.org/vaccineInfo/index.cfm

Childhood vaccinations have led to the virtual wiping out of many serious diseases. With the head-in-the-sand attitude of many FReepers, we would probably still be suffering the scourges of smallpox and polio.
