A leading Egyptian scholar has demanded that people caught importing a female virginity-faking device into the country should face the death penalty.
Abdul Mouti Bayoumi said supplying the item was akin to spreading vice in society, a crime punishable by death in Islamic Sharia law.
The device is said to release liquid imitating blood, allowing a female to feign virginity on her wedding night.

You aren’t seriously comparing women that aren’t virgins, to porn stars, are you? That’s a pretty good stretch even for FR.
Or even learning something new!!
You people from the other side of the pond are just a hoot.
you said “To me, having had sex does not mean impurity, unrighteousness or any of that stuff”
so using your reasoning, there would be nothing stopping you from marrying a porn star since she has done nothing impure or unrighteous.
“stretch”....humor Ha, Ha.
From their perspective (which isn’t much different than the general views held in the West until a little while ago), a woman who engages in sex outside of marriage is not very different than a prostitute. How many men would line up to marry a prostitute?
I wonder if these men were virgins when they got married?
There is an “imprinting” that goes on with one’s first partner, both for men and women. This is a God-given bonding reaction. This is why the “puritanical idea” of being a virgin at marriage and not committing adultery is actually a good idea, if you want to stay married and have the best possible sexual experiences.
Not if I was in love with her, no.
I also believe that people seem to lose a piece of themselves with every partner that they have. If you have ever seen a old hooker she usually looks 20 to 30 years older, it's as if each new partner took part of her life away.
I guess, since I do not have the same perspectives as them, that is why I don’t understand it.
Who knows?
Ever meet an old girlfriend at a class reunion or something and realize you left a part of your heart there, regardless of your level of “physical involvement”?
I heard one guy say he realized that when he saw his “girlfriend” that he had at 5 yrs old - she had a small piece of his heart.
But the vast majority of people would never marry a prostitute or a porn star even though many wouldn't expect their bride to be a virgin.
Nearly everyone has what they think is an “acceptable” number of partners they would accept in a possible mate.
Actually I have, and it is sort of sad.
It depends. Do goats count?
yes. they count as two.
Why wouldn’t I be consistent?
They are the ones that are not being consistent.
Either sex matters or it doesn't.
To me there is no difference between someone saying they wouldn't marry a slut who had slept with more than 10 guys than saying they wouldn't marry someone who had slept with anyone.
The principle is the same, only the number tolerated differs.
