Seven or so years ago, there was an article on FR about a white Zimbabwean farmer who had been killed. I remember the picture of the man's body covered by a bedspread with a little Jack Russell curled next to him. As I recall, the man had moved to town for safety and he and the dog had returned to the farm to pickup a few things when the blacks attacked him.

President Barack Obama is promising $73 Million in U.S. aid to the people of Zimbabwe. The president made the pledge Friday, after meeting with Zimbabwe's Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai in the Oval Office.
