The suspicion that President Obama was born outside of the United States has been written off as a conspiracy theory, but that hasn't stopped the so-called "birther" movement from keeping their theories alive.
A fundamentalist Christian Web site LivePrayer.com has produced a 28-minute infomercial dedicated to questioning where the president was born. It has run at least once on a CBS affiliate in Lubbock, Texas.
LivePrayer.com was founded by Christian minister Bill Keller, who committed his life to God after spending time in prison for insider trading, according to his site. The infomercial is also the work of attorney Gary Kreep, executive director of the birther group United States Justice Foundation, Talking Points Memo reports. He reportedly said the infomercial will run for at least two and a half weeks on stations around the country.
Mr. Obama has "vigorously fought.. to keep his birth information secret," Keller says in the program. "What is he hiding?"
The half hour spot encourages viewers to call a phone number to add their names to a list petitioning GOP leaders to "force President Obama to obey the law." In thanks for their support, viewers will receive a "Got a birth certificate?" bumper sticker. It also informs viewers that for just $30, they can have a fax sent on their behalf to all 50 state attorneys general and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder demanding they force President Obama to supply his official State of Hawaii birth certificate.
"Join hundreds of thousands of Americans who simply want the truth," Keller says.
Keller may be right about the persistence of the rumor -- a recent poll showed that that 42 percent of Republicans believe Barack Obama was born outside of the United States while 22 percent said they were unsure.
And while the White House has, of course, dismissed the theory as "totally crazy," some Republicans have quietly perpetuated the myth. California Rep. John Campbell co-sponsored a bill (with at least nine others) requiring presidential candidates to submit a birth certificate and refused to give a straight answer when asked whether he believed the president was born in the United States.
Well, then why do you think his lawyers haven't submitted one of these birth annoucements to a court?

Now tht is a funny statement.
Looked through my purse and found a sticky note pad and wrote *Wheres the Birth Certificate?* on it and placed it on the windshield.

Excellent idea!
But...I think it would be better to place on the windshields of those who might still have an open mind.
None of the cases has been heard, so none have reached a point where it would be appropriate to submit proof.
This is your idea of success? To spend over a million dollars for something that even an expensive lawyer wouldn't charge more than $5000 for? (And why would he even need an expensive lawyer. Any kid just out of law school could do this, right?)
ML/NJ
You're wrong. I care.

My point is that as a lawyer, then by definition Obama wasn't born; he hatched.
Cheers!
I think it was your idea first...a VERY good one, too!
Who knows, maybe that particular person might have a change of heart.
We just travelled from AZ to VA and I’ve left that message in several places along the way.
You must realize that this is a specious argument. Obama's lawyers could have chosen to answer the complaints be moving for dismissal by submitting this so-called proof. Instead they have challenged the eligibility of the plaintiffs at significant additional cost to their client.
If YOU were the client, would YOU go along with this?

I’m not a birther, I’m a let’s wait and see. Put all the factual info together and see type person. But.....
A young lady who had a fling with my husband several years ago didn’t know if the baby she was having was my husbands or her boyfriends. I knew the girl was pregnant but I had no idea of the affair with my husband until a few months later.
My husband lied to me, he assured me that he could not be the father of the baby she was carrying because he had broken up with her before she had gotten pregnant.
When her baby’s birth announcement from the hospital came out in the news paper in Aug. of that year seemingly giving an Aug. date, I was relieved. If there had been a chance of the baby being my husbands it would have had to be born a whole month earlier.
It was about seven years later that I found out that the baby was really born in July not August as the birth announcement in the paper had said.
How was that done? She just didn’t fill out the birth certificate until a month after the baby was born. I always thought you had to fill out the certificate in the hospital before you took your baby home.
But seven years later I found out by looking at probate court records where a month after the baby was born there was a filling of the birth certificate with the actual July birth date.
The announcement in the paper came out in Aug one day after the probate accepted the the birth certificate. Making it seem as if the baby were born in Aug not July when it was really born.
So, an announcement in the paper doesn’t really prove anything.
It proves that Obama was born in Hawaii. Otherwise, it’s a conspiracy, and that’s total nonsense. I was a believer until that announcement appeared; then the theory that Obama was going to have the right chasing their tails made sense. I just know he’s laughing his ass off because so many took the bait.
They do not want the Constitution to be enforced if it means they don;’t get what they want, and they want the affirmative action marxist to sweep away the old Republic and replace it with the federal oligarchy the democrat party has had wet dreams for these last thirty years, so thye pondscum media can be the well protected propaganda machine they’re practicing to be. ... And still no one seems able to build an effective guillotine for the Guillotine Deserving Media.
In what way?
You have a Constitution don't you? Don't you think it should be followed?
If Barry wasn't hiding something, he wouldn't need to hide this.
Think about Occam's Razor, and The Dog That Did Not Bark.
The next time someone wants to cite the Internet exhibits as proof of Barry’s eligibility, just tell them all the images are fraudulent since none has the owrd ‘Amended’ ont he face of it as required by Hawaiian law when some amendment has been made to the BC vital records ... and Barry’s have been amended at least once, probably more. ... That should bait the Obamanoid trolls into action this evening!
“It proves that Obama was born in Hawaii.”
Really? My sister was born in Germany (my dad was stationed there). My grandmother put announcements in my local town paper. Ergo my sister was born in the United States. Pass the bong GORON.
